How does it feel knowing you can’t ever process your emotions so you spend half your day focusing on that one single emotion and how to fix it????😁😁😁

Not trying to cancel you here hun but only adding to the discussion here, but you pretty much lost me when you spoke about Kaeya.
The thing about Kaeya is that yeah, he's supposed to be inspired by Europe +whatever continent kh'aeinriah is supposed to be inspired from, and if from the VERY start Kaeya was depicted with a light skin tone people wouldn't 'lose their shit' because there would be nothing to lose their shit about. No whitewashing has happened in this alternative universe, because Kaeya wasn't depicted as POC and as you said, was light skinned in this alternative universe in the first place
The reason why most people are sad about the whitewashing is because it whitewashed cultures and decades of history, and basically told the people in question " everything about your culture is beautiful, except you. " that's the big problem with Natlan characters. They take all the inspiration with zero credit and zero skills in representation. When you're a big influential company like hyv is, it is your RESPONSIBILITY to be able to represent the cultures you're depicting in the most respectful way possible, because people can so easily be influenced by the media they consume, and so much erasure is happening to POC culture already without hyv, so they're only adding salt on the wound like this.

Genshin is not the best at representing and i don think they try to "represent" anything with their characters. They are just inspired by cultures but ultimately the characters are Origina to the world of teyvat.
Whether its inspiration or representation, when you're a creator/artist, and you're using a culture for your story or benefit, you have to have the common decency to not disrespect the culture and hyv completely ignores that

It's interesting you say this, because I agree she has a lot of Persian inspiration, but she also has a lot of Indian ones too! And this mix-mash of inspos has led to a lot of discussions about what culture is Nahida trying to represent exactly. That's basically…
The reason why Nahida is a mix-mash of multiple cultures is because she’s supposed to represent Sumeru as a whole. Both the green forest part and the desert part. That’s why she’s a mix of Persian, Indian and slightly Arabic.

Also about the '80% of Iranians are White' thing....💔💔💔💔💔 I hate to be the one who says this but that's not true at all 😭😭😭😭 I don't know where you live but for me and others who live in the mainly north or South of Iran we see a lot more dark-skinned people or tan-skinned people than we do light skinned. 😭😭 and honestly this whole goddamn racism debacle in Iran just because of skintones is becoming saddening to watch, dark skinned Iranians DO exist and they're not a 'small minority' they're literally the same amount as us😭😭😭😭😭
Also um… black Iranians do exist btw 😭 and by black I mean Africans. Iranians did use to own slaves from the 16th century up until the start of the 20th century and most of them reside in the bandar now or sistan/baluchistan.
Most Iranians aren’t even “white” as we look at it. We’re mainly tanned. My dad is tan. My aunt is tan. Some of my family members are tanner than I am and the amount of tan skinned and dark skinned Iranians I’ve seen are more than the “fair white” Iranians I’ve seen. Don’t forget we’re still Middle Eastern and we deal with the hot burning sun during summers so being tan isn’t rare in Iran at all.
This interview really did open my eyes up because you’re asking from both black Iranians and non-black Iranians about this question

I need to emphasize that i don hate this skin color. Literally my newest obsession has been katseye and watching lara's fancams who is a brown girl. An absolutely gorgeous one.
Yeah ofc hun that's what I'm not accusing you of anything here I know what you mean 😭😭😭 it's true that when you look around the majority in the center of Iran are light-skinned, but as someone who lives like near the North and mountains I gotta say it's more of a 50/50 situation here. The truth is Iran is not purely 'persian' or 'arabic' or anything of that sort. It's a huge mixed variety of multiple different cultures, some even European! We've been a land that's been accepting of a lot of immigrants since the beginning and so every Iranian is a completely different and interesting mix of ethnicities. I honestly think that's what makes our culture so charming, because it's a mix of everything but something also so unique to itself
