#Permaculture principles β not just for growing food.
Observe and interact: Engage with nature - design solutions that suit our particular situation.
Catch and store energy: Collect resources at peak abundance, use in times of need.
Obtain a yield: Get truly useful rewards as part of the work that you are doing.
Apply self-regulation and accept feedback: Systems must function well long-term.
Use and value renewable resources and services: Make good use of nature's abundance.
Produce no waste: Valuing & use of all resources that are available to us.
Design from patterns to details: Observe patterns in nature & society - these are the backbone of our designs, with details filled in as we go.
Integrate rather than segregate: By putting the right things in the right place, relationships develop between those things and they work together to support each other.
Use small and slow solutions: Small and slow systems are easier to maintain than big ones, making better use of local resources and producing more sustainable outcomes.
Use and value diversity: Diversity reduces vulnerability to a variety of threats and takes advantage of the unique nature of the environment in which it resides.
Use edges and value the marginal: The interface between things is where the most interesting events take place. These are often the most valuable, diverse and productive elements in the system.
Creatively use and respond to change: Have a positive impact on inevitable change by carefully observing, and then intervening at the right time

Yesterday I had a few participants come out and learn about some wild edibles, and medicinal plants and fungi - with the summer moving in the next workshops will increasingly include wild berries and more medicinal fungi
~
Next opportunity will be Wednesday May 12th at 2pm in North Coquitlam. Small groups can be requested, just get in contact with me!
~
Workshop is sliding scale 45-60$ per person and no one is ever turned away for lack of finances
~
All workshops include the possibility for barefoot hiking, cold swimming, harvesting, and filtering your own mountain stream water

#FoodPrices set to explode.
You must be a producer, not a consumer.
Grow. Now.
Take seeds from fruit. Start trees.
Take seeds from store bought organic veggies. Start them off. No room to grow them? Start them anyway for your neighbors.
Pick up animals from neighbors/craigslist. Breed them.
Soon everyone will realize these things are priceless. And then they will be unobtainable.
We are going in...
