After several editions in Berlin, the format traveled to Buenos Aires and Singapore and is now returning for its 6-7th edition at NEW FEARS Gallery under the theme of DEAD HYPES.

Technical Details:
Its about keeping it simple - you will perform for 1min on a 2 × 2 m white floor with a white wall backdrop. You can bring your own music (Bluetooth and cable connection available). You may choose a light color, a microphone and smoke machine will be provided. A large changing room will be available for preparation. The audience will vote for the winner, who will receive 70% of the entrance revenue.

DEAD HYPES:
Hypes are becoming shorter and shorter - especially in the art world, with its constant hunger for the new. But where do these dead hypes go once they are no longer of interest? You can bring them back, how u relate performatively is up to you.🖤

Postcolonial theory & bedfellow, decolonial theory, are the most flourishing products of academia in recent times. Transcending their origins in universities and literary criticism, and clustering around what is coming to be known as ‘theory from the Global South’, their guiding assumptions have leaked into the public domain and become shibboleths with which to acknowledge historically victimised communities. With this success has come a disturbing trend: political activity operates based on clumsy victimhood analogies, and much of its rhetoric is deliberately anti-rational, reproducing and perpetuating the manufactured categories of racist and sectarian imaginations.

Liebe Freunde und Fans von "100 Kicks", "Orture" und den Nebenprojekten aller involvierten Musiker!

Wir sind zwei DIY Punkbands und waren 2025 in den Philippinen auf Tour, organisiert von Cris vom "Etniko Bandido"-Infoladen Manila.

Am 8.6. ereignete sich in der südlichen philippinischen Provinz Mindanao ein schweres Erdbeben der Stärke 7.8.. Dabei kamen 32 Personen kamen ums Leben, zahlreiche Gebäude stürzten ein, Infrastruktur wurde zerstört.

Drei Personen aus dem Umfeld des "Etniko Bandido" Infoladens möchten nun sobald wie möglich in die betroffenen Gebiete reisen, um Solarpaneele in die Provinzen zu bringen, die jetzt vom Stromnetz abgeschnitten sind.

Bereits nach dem Taifun in den zentralen philippinischen Inseln Visayas 2013 tat sich das "Solar Guerilla Autonomous Response Team" zusammen, um unabhängig von staatlichen Institutionen und Unterstützung Bürgern zu helfen, deren Häuser teilweise wochenlang vom Stromnetz abgeschnitten waren.

Auch jetzt will das "Solar Guerilla Autonomous Response Team" wieder sein mobiles Solarkraftwerk in die Krisenregion nach General Santos City auf Mindanao bringen, um einen temporären Ladepunkt für die Anwohner anzubieten.

Für den Transport dreier Personen und des Equipments von der mehr als 1600km entfernt auf der Hauptinsel Luzon gelegenen Hauptstadt Manila nach Mindanao benötigen sie umgerechnet circa 560€.

Am 25.06. tagt der Kulturausschuss. Die Empfehlung des Kulturbüros lautet, das Freie Radio Fratz in Flensburg nicht weiter zu fördern.
Das würde für uns das Aus bedeuten!

Als Freies Radio sind wir per Definition nicht kommerziell und gemeinnützig – wir können die Kosten nicht alleine tragen. Ohne Redaktionsräume – kein Radio!
Das Freie Radio Fratz setzt sich seit Sendestart für eine bunte und vielfältige Kulturlandschaft in Flensburg ein. Durch ein Programm, das sich nicht an Einschaltquoten orientieren muss, konnten wir auch Formate senden, die nicht auf den Mainstream ausgerichtet sind, und so die Sichtbarkeit marginalisierter Gruppen stärken.

Unsere Musikrotation spielt rund um die Uhr Songs, die sonst kaum oder gar nicht im Radio laufen.
Zudem leisten wir durch die Zusammenarbeit mit mehreren Schulen und Kitas medienpädagogische Arbeit und fördern Menschen musikalisch. Wir ermöglichen niedrigschwelligen Zugang zu hochwertigem Equipment und haben bereits viele Menschen an unser Tonstudio sowie an DJ-Equipment herangeführt.
Darüber hinaus haben wir im Rahmen kultureller Kooperationen anderen Initiativen und Veranstaltungsorten unser Equipment stets unkompliziert und niedrigschwellig zur Verfügung gestellt.

Und das alles komplett ehrenamtlich. Wir haben keine bezahlten Stellen. Die Förderung fließt vollständig in unseren Sendebetrieb.
Damit wäre – wenn es nach dem Kulturbüro geht – jetzt Schluss.

Die endgültige Entscheidung treffen jedoch die Fraktionen.

On June 25th, the Culture Committee is meeting. The Culture Office's recommendation is to discontinue funding for Freies Radio Fratz in Flensburg.
That would mean the end for us!
As a Free Radio station, we are by definition non-commercial and non-profit – we cannot bear the costs alone. No editorial rooms – no radio!
Since going on air, Freies Radio Fratz has championed a colorful and diverse cultural landscape in Flensburg. With a program that doesn't have to cater to listener ratings, we've been able to broadcast non-mainstream formats, thereby boosting the visibility of marginalized groups.
Our music rotation plays songs around the clock that are otherwise rarely or never heard on the radio.
Additionally, through partnerships with several schools and daycare centers, we provide media education and foster musical development. We offer low-barrier access to high-quality equipment and have already introduced many people to our recording studio and DJ gear.
Furthermore, through cultural collaborations, we have consistently provided our equipment to other initiatives and venues in an uncomplicated and accessible way.
And all of this is completely volunteer-run. We have no paid staff. The funding flows entirely into our broadcasting operations.
If the Culture Office has its way, this will now come to an end.
The final decision, however, rests with the political factions.
