🇮🇱 Israel Receives More F-35s Amid Gaza War and Tensions with Iran

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has received three newly built F-35 fighter jets, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on April 25.

In a brief statement, the military said that the fighter jets landed at Nevatim Airbase the previous day. With this delivery, the number of F-35s in service with the IAF has reached 45. In addition to this number, there is also an experimental fighter jet known as the AS-15, stationed at Tel Nof Airbase.

The IAF operates a special version of the F-35A modified with Israeli-made systems. This version is known as the F-35I "Adir." The fighter jet’s main computer has a plug-and-play function for additional systems; suggested upgrades include external jamming devices and new Israeli air-to-air missiles and guided bombs in the internal weapon bays.
