Apple is getting ready to unveil its biggest iOS 18 update yet. One of the most interesting innovations is Eye-Tracking.
Eye-Tracking is a feature that lets users control their iPhones and iPad with their eyes, which is especially beneficial for people with physical disabilities.
How does it work?
1. The front camera tracks the user's eye movements.
2. Setup and calibration take just a few seconds, during which the camera captures eye movement data.
3. AI and machine learning models interpret the gaze and eye movements in real-time.
4. Users can scroll through feeds, switch between apps, control buttons, swipe, and perform other basic actions hands-free, simply by looking at them.
5. To select an option, users need to fix their gaze for a set amount of time. This technology is known as "Dwell Control."
No additional equipment is required. The feature will be free.
🆕 What else is new?
⚫️ Vehicle Motion Cues. Reduces the effects of motion sickness in transport when using a gadget. Animated dots on the edges of the screen adjust to the motion of the vehicle, reducing sensory conflict between what a person sees and what they feel while driving.
⚫️ Listen for Atypical Speech. Improves interaction for people with speech impairments. AI recognizes and remembers a wide range of speech and communication abilities of a particular user.
⚫️ Music Haptics. Allows deaf and hard-of-hearing users to "experience" music through touchscreen vibration. The phone will play taps, textures, and refined vibrations to the audio of the music. Music Haptics works with millions of songs in the Apple Music catalog.
In brief
— Siri will get generative AI to answer questions, exactly like ChatGPT.
— Apple Music will have a feature to generate your own music.
— Apple News will have an AI model to highlight what's important from the news.
The 2024 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) kicks off on 10 June and runs until 14 June.

Scientists at the University of Michigan have made a breakthrough: they have learned to understand dog language using neural networks.
By utilizing already known neural networks for voice recognition, they were able to distinguish 74 breeds, determine the gender and age, and the context of the barking.

One day I asked my father to tell me something about life that I needed to know, he told me a story. The story said that ' there was once a bird flying in the winter breeze, it was so cold that the bird's wings froze in mid air and the bird fail straight from the sky and landed in cow-st. Surprisingly the cow-st was so warm that the bird felt good, in fact the bird felt so good and warm that he started singing out loud, a cat heard the singing bird and came to pull it out of the cow-s**t and ate it ' end of story....
I began to wonder why he would tell me such a dam story Anyways, I asked him what the moral of the story was and he said '
lesson 1. Not all s**t you fall in means bad for you, some of it comes to heal and strengthen you
Lesson 2. Not everyone that comes to take you out to s**t means well for you
Lesson 3. Learn to keep quiet when s**t is working out well for you
