For those looking for an internship, consider this:
Before you apply, research the company's website and LinkedIn.
Some companies announce 6 months, but go for the shorter one, like 3 months. It's better to do two shorter internships at different companies than to stay 6 months at the same one.
And one of the biggest mistakes? Prioritizing remote as an intern.
Onsite is better than remote as an intern because you need to learn:
People skills
Work discipline
Real work environment and networking with seniors.
๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡นโœจ A young Ethiopian just showed the world what African talent looks like.

won 1st place in Amazon AWSโ€™s global AIdeas competition, beating 10,000+ participants from 115 countries around the world. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ†

His project, Ivy AI, works completely OFFLINE and was built for students who do not always have internet access.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Works on normal smartphones
๐Ÿ—ฃ Supports Amharic & English
๐ŸŒ Built for real African challenges

What makes this story powerful is his journey.
He started learning programming without stable internet or expensive devices โ€” but he kept learning, building, and believing in himself. โค๏ธ

This is a big motivation for all of us to keep moving forward, keep learning, and never stop building our dreams. ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿš€

If one young Ethiopian can inspire the world, imagine what many of us can do together. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ’ก Tech With Hos Family,

I want to share a very interesting post from about how Generative AI is changing software engineering, education, and the future of tech itself.

One thing I really liked from the discussion is this:
The future is not just about coding harder โ€” itโ€™s about learning how to think, adapt, and build together with AI.

As students, developers, and future engineers, this is something we should all pay attention to. The tech world is changing fast, and the people who keep learning and adapting will have the biggest impact.

This is also highly connected to what we are trying to build and learn every day in this community โ€” growing together, improving our skills, and preparing for the future of technology.

I highly recommend everyone to read it. It gives a very clear perspective about where software engineering and education are heading in the GenAI era.

2 months ago, one of my friends told me to try Google Antigravity.

At first, I thought:
โ€œProbably just another AI IDE beside VS Code.โ€

But after using it consistentlyโ€ฆ
I actually started loving the workflow.

And now Antigravity 2.0 is here

This update feels different.

Itโ€™s no longer just an editor.
It feels more like an AI workspace built for developers.

The new experience feels cleaner, smarter, and way more beginner friendly.

โœจ Multi-agent workflows
๐Ÿง  Dynamic AI subagents
๐ŸŽ™ Voice transcription
๐Ÿ›  CLI + SDK support
๐Ÿ“‚ Better project & task organization

What I like most is this:

Antigravity 2.0 doesnโ€™t feel like:
โ€œAI helping me code.โ€

It feels like:
โ€œAI building together with me.โ€

I still respect VS Code a lot โ€” itโ€™s legendary.
But Antigravity genuinely feels like the future of software development ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ”ฅ

Every single month, Iโ€™m honestly amazed by how fast AI is evolving.
Recently, I saw the updates and early discussions around Claude Opus 4.8
And the improvements already look seriously impressive.
I actually didnโ€™t try this one myself yet, but the direction of these upgrades is really interesting ๐Ÿ‘€
Some of the highlighted improvements:
โ€ข Better coding and debugging
โ€ข Stronger reasoning abilities
โ€ข Improved understanding of long conversations and large files
โ€ข Smarter AI workflows and automation
โ€ข Faster and more efficient responses
โ€ข Better at recognizing mistakes instead of sounding overconfident
What really stands out is how fast these models are improving.
Things that felt futuristic just a short time ago are becoming normal step by step.
Now my honest thought about the next step of AI ๐Ÿ‘‡
AI becoming more โ€œagent-likeโ€ โ€” where it can take goals and independently figure out steps to complete them.
Honestly, itโ€™s exciting to see this happening in real time.
let's see the next step together

๐Ÿšจ One message.

That's all it takes to miss an opportunity.

A scholarship.
An internship.
A powerful AI tool.
A resource that could save you months of learning.

Most people don't miss opportunities because they aren't capable.

They miss them because they hear about them too late.

That's why I created Tech With Hos

A place where I share valuable tech updates, AI tools, programming insights, learning resources, and opportunities worth knowing about.

Because sometimes the difference between staying behind and moving ahead is simply being informed.

I know I've been posting a lot about AI lately.

But there's a reason.
Many people still treat AI as a tool.
I think it's becoming a fundamental skill.

. Just like learning how to use a computer.
. Just like learning how to search the internet.

The people who learn how to work with AI effectively will have a huge advantage in learning, building, and growing.
That's one of the reasons ChatGPT is usually my first choice.

Not because it gives answers.

Because it helps me learn faster, think better, and create more.
AI isn't replacing your skills.
It's amplifying them.

๐Ÿ’ฌ What's the most useful thing AI has helped you with recently?
๐Ÿ“ค Share it with a friend who is still sleeping on AI.

MiniMax-Code is seriously impressive.

I've tested many AI coding tools, but this one quickly caught my attention.

It works from the terminal, understands codebases, edits files, and helps with real development tasksโ€”not just code suggestions.

Still exploring it, but so far, the experience has been excellent.

If you're a developer who enjoys experimenting with AI tools, MiniMax-Code is worth checking out.

A great GitHub portfolio isn't the one with the most repositories.

It's the one that makes people stop scrolling.
When someone opens your profile, they should instantly see:

. What you can build
โ€ข What technologies you use
โ€ข How you think as a developer
โ€ข The impact of your projects

You don't need 100 projects.

You need a few projects that you can confidently say:
"I built this. I understand every part of it."

The best GitHub profiles are not collections of code.
They're collections of solved problems.
Every repository should answer one question:

Why does this project exist?

Write good READMEs.
Keep your code clean.
Document your journey.
Show your progress.

Because opportunities rarely come from saying you're skilled.

They come from showing your work.
Your GitHub is more than a portfolio.

It's your digital footprint as an engineer.
Build carefully. Commit consistently. Learn publicly.

๐Ÿšจ NEW YORK WANTS TO BAN AI "FRIENDSHIPS" FOR KIDS

New York lawmakers have passed a bill that would restrict AI companions for children.

If signed into law, AI chatbots for minors would NOT be allowed to:

โŒ Pretend to be real people โŒ Express emotions โŒ Suggest friendship or romantic relationships โŒ Encourage risky behavior โŒ Tell children to keep secrets from parents โŒ Generate sexual content

Companies that violate the rules could face fines of up to $25,000 per incident.

Supporters say these rules will help protect children from emotional manipulation by AI.

Others argue that parentsโ€”not governmentsโ€”should decide what their children can use.

Do Ethiopian students and children also need similar protections from AI companions, or should parents make that decision?

โค๏ธ Yes, they need protection ๐Ÿ”ฅ No, parents should decide

Yesterday, I shared a tech fact here's another one for today.

Every single minute on the internet:

๐Ÿ” Millions of Google searches are made.
๐Ÿ“ง Hundreds of millions of emails are sent.
๐ŸŽฅ Thousands of hours of videos are watched.
๐Ÿค– Millions of AI prompts are submitted.

It's easy to forget how much happens online in just 60 seconds.

The internet isn't just connecting people anymoreโ€”it's powering learning, business, entertainment, and innovation across the world. ๐ŸŒ

๐Ÿ’ฌ What's the app you use the most every day?
