Every time I had to record a product demo, I lost two hours.

Not recording it. Editing it.

Viewers couldn't tell what I was clicking. I'd open DaVinci, manually add zoom keyframes on every interaction, re-render, hate the result, do it again.

So a few weekends ago I started building the tool I wished existed.

A Chrome extension that: → records any tab → smooths the cursor automatically → zooms on every click without me touching a timeline → keeps everything local, nothing uploaded

Submitted it to the Chrome Web Store this week. Now waiting on Google.

Will share the link the moment it's approved.

If you record demos, tutorials, or walkthroughs, I would love to hear what frustrates you most about the current tools. Replying to every comment.

The clipboard is probably the most-used, least-improved tool on any developer's machine. We copy constantly, API keys, kubectl commands, SQL snippets, config blocks and then the next copy wipes it all out. The workarounds are all duct tape: scratch files, pinned tabs, bloated markdown docs, clunky clipboard managers.

I wanted something better. A clipboard manager that's fast enough to be muscle memory, smart enough to find exactly what you need, private enough to hold secrets without a second thought, and structured enough to make copies re-usable. Everything stays on your machine. Everything is searchable. Every copy is a save and the tools you reach for daily are a couple keystrokes away.

So I built it. It's called Pasta. Open source, free, runs on macOS and Linux (tested on Fedora). I've been using it as my daily driver for about 3–4 months now and it's changed how I work. Give it a try.

Have you purchased domains or services on Yegara.com? How did they implement their payment system, where a user enters a transaction reference following payment, resulting in automatic approval? Are they using an API, or they developed it in-house?

⭐️ Verifier

The Verifier API is an open-source tool that lets you verify transactions across platforms like Telebirr, CBE, M-Pesa, and others through one unified interface, helping prevent fraud and validate payments in real time.

It helps developers automate payments and lets individuals verify receipts, preventing fraud in real time.

Key Features
▶️Universal Smart Router: A single POST /verify endpoint that automatically detects the provider based on the reference number format.

▶️Instant Web UI: For non-developers or quick checks, a live web interface is available at verify.leul.et to instantly verify receipts via reference numbers.

▶️Developer SDK: For seamless integration into Next.js or Node.js projects, there is a dedicated TypeScript SDK available via pnpm: pnpm add @creofam/verifier.

▶️ Hybrid Infrastructure: A sophisticated proxy fallback system that ensures reliable verification even when hosted on foreign cloud providers (AWS, Hetzner, etc.) by routing through local Ethiopian nodes.

It is open source — give it a star and contribute!

A few days ago, I posted that I was tired of spending hours editing product demos.

Today, the tool I built to fix that is live on the Chrome Web Store.
It's called WubCast.

What it does, in one sentence: records a browser tab and produces a polished, zoomed, smooth-cursor demo video automatically, locally, and for free.

The features I'm most proud of:
- Smooth cursor motion (no more jittery mouse trails)
- Automatic zoom-on-click:- the camera follows what your viewers care about
- Picture-in-picture webcam overlay
- Built-in trim and export editor
- 100% on-device. No uploads. No account. No subscription

I built it because every alternative either cost $20+/month or required me to ship my recordings to someone else's server. Neither felt right for the kind of product walkthroughs I do.

If you make demos, tutorials, onboarding videos, or sales walkthroughs, I'd love for you to try it and tell me what to fix:

Stars and reviews on the store page genuinely move the needle. 🙏
