Did testosterone deprive you of your hair ❓
Don't rush to blame the hormones - it's not testosterone's fault, but its evil twin brother.
Many people think:
"I'm using testosterone, so I'm balding like my grandfather."
To tell the truth, testosterone itself is not the enemy of your hair. DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is the reason - its metabolite, which is produced when testosterone passes through the enzyme 5a- reductase.
➡️ If your genetics gave you an active 5a-reductase -
congratulations, you are in the risk zone. It doesn't matter whether you use testosterone or just breathe air: baldness comes from the sensitivity of hair follicles to DHT, not from the level of testosterone in the blood.
Studies confirm:
▪️Men with androgenetic alopecia often have normal or even low testosterone levels, but high sensitivity to DHT (Hamilton, 1951; Ellis & Sinclair, 2005).
▪️In the TRAVERSE trial (yes, the one with 5000+ men), TRT did not accelerate hair loss compared to placebo.
❗️ In short:
If you already looked like Statham in college, testosterone injections won't solve the problem - but they also won't accelerate it (if you don't overdo it and don't run cycles like a pro bodybuilder from the 2000s).
🔗 Do you want to keep your hair?
Control not general testosterone, but DHT, genetics, and - yes - finasteride (but that's another story, with miniature eggs and other "joys").

🧠 WHY “NORMAL” TESTOSTERONE STILL FEELS LOW
It’s not just about how much testosterone is in your blood —
it’s about how much your cells actually feel.
👉 Sensitivity is everything.
You can have normal or even high testosterone, but if your androgen receptors are slow, the effects won’t show.
🔬 CAG repeats matter:
➡️Short CAG = fast receptors → even moderate T can feel amazing
➡️Long CAG = lazy receptors → high T, weak results
Same signal. Very different response.
Like a powerful amplifier vs a cheap phone speaker 🔊
💡 Here’s the key:
Testosterone works inside the cell.
It must enter, bind to the receptor, then trigger libido, muscle, mood, energy.
But if your cell membrane is damaged by:
Chronic inflammation
Obesity
Insulin resistance / diabetes
Fatty liver
🚪 Testosterone knocks… but no one opens the door.
⚠️ Bottom line:
Don’t chase lab numbers alone.
“Normal” testosterone + bad symptoms = low sensitivity or poor delivery.
🛠 What you can do:
Check free T & SHBG
Check hs-CRP (inflammation) & insulin
Reduce inflammation & abdominal fat
Consider CAG repeat testing (if available)
If everything looks “normal” but you still feel off —
👉 this might be the missing piece.

Other than surgery, what is the best treatment for gynecomastia?
💡 For those of you who got this wrong...
Here's a quick explanation of what Raloxifene is and why it's the best non-surgical treatment for gynecomastia 👇
Raloxifene (Evista) 101
Raloxifene is one of the rarest yet most useful SERMS on the market today. Like Tamoxifen, it was designed to prevent and treat breast cancer, but it is also used by bodybuilders who want to prevent and/or get rid of gynecomastia.
Unlike Tamoxifen, Raloxifene is powerful enough to shrink gynecomastia that has been around for years, and many people use it to reverse pubertal gyno all the time. It can also increase Testosterone levels, but it's one of the weakest SERMS when it comes to doing so.
It works by blocking estrogen receptors in the breasts (which prevents/treats gynecomastia and breast cancer), and the estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus (which causes the secretion of Testosterone).
Besides these two benefits, it can also improve bone mass and fight osteoporosis, as well as lower cholesterol levels.
It's main side-effect is that it can reduce IGF-1 levels, but other than that this is a safe and effective medication that will rarely cause serious liver toxicity, blood clots, moodiness or sexual dysfunction.
The typical protocol for gyno reversal is 60mg a day for 1-2 weeks, followed by 30mg a day for up to 3 months (or until gyno is gone).
For PCT, bodybuilders tend to take 60mg for 4-6 weeks, always lowering the dose to 30mg during the last week.

🔥 LOW LIBIDO? IT’S RARELY JUST LOW TESTOSTERONE
Low sex drive in men is influenced by far more than testosterone alone. DHT, estrogen balance, SHBG, mental health, stress, sleep, lifestyle, erectile dysfunction, and hormone optimization all play critical roles.
That’s why many men struggle with low libido, poor erections, low energy, or reduced confidence despite having “normal” blood work.
Understanding the real causes is the first step toward restoring desire, performance, and vitality.
