What did you get done this week so far and what do you intend to get done by the end?

Complexity has to live somewhere.
Programming as theory-building.

"Legacy code" is a code for which we do not have a mental model— a theory.

Improvement Kata
"Sufficiently many hacks and tricks are indistinguishable from one huge breakthrough"

Acceleration could become HAkCelerationism for China.
Tech-Industrial Convergence

China has created a system of interlocking industries.

80/20

Roughly 80% of the value or impact of a software solutions we develop comes from only 20% of the features, code, or development effort.
Do You Know the Grandfathers of Your Ideas?

While I was Googling and learning about the life of Vilfredo Pareto, I came across an intriguing feature in his profile—Google's "Influenced" and "Influenced by" sections. This clever visualization essentially maps the intellectual ancestry and descendants of Pareto’s ideas, like a genealogy of thought.

It made me wonder: how often do we reflect on the "grandfathers" of our own ideas?

Do you know the grandfathers of your ideas, or do you live as if your ideas are yours alone?

The Big Vision

This technology could redefine what it means to be human—not by replacing our humanity, but by deepening it. Imagine a world where:

Grief is softened by reliving loved ones’ happiest memories.

Education is a sensory journey through history’s greatest minds.

Global empathy is built by sharing lived experiences across borders.

But doomers don't want to listen.
