I don't know any one in my circle i can ask this question and we can have nuanced discussion without meandering to oblivion. I can't believe i can have this kinda complex question to AI and i can get instant reply. Damn, what a time to be alive.

Typing Amharic on Linux? Here's My Fix! 💻🇪🇹
I love Linux and wanted to switch from Windows, but the Amharic character mapping on Windows 10 & 11 is way better! 🤔 That made me hesitate about the move.
After some digging, I found out you can create your own custom character mapping on Linux using IBus and the ibus-m17n library. 🎉 The mapping goes into a .mim file, and you can enable it through ibus-setup or IBus preferences.
So, I made my own Windows-like key mapping in a .mim file, and guess what? It worked perfectly! 😎 I’ve shared everything in this repo here
https://github.com/zeal-nerd/am-geez with clear instructions for anyone to follow. Give it a try, and feel free to DM me with feedback or the distros you've tested it on! 🚀
