(重發)上次出完personal statememt參考開頭，今次就等我講下personal statement可以點樣收筆啦！一般嚟講都係表達返你好有興趣加入佢間大學，如果唔sure點收尾可以參考以下句子：

［2024版］最近收到好多personal statement，留意到有以下嘅共通問題，抽出嚟同大家講下，大家交文比我睇之前可以檢查一下有冇出現喔。

問題1 ：❌冇introduction，一開波就話我參加過咩活動/有咩工作經驗/同呢科有咩關係

大家記得✅寫返introduction（約3-5句），
1. 引起讀者興趣
2. 介紹寫作目的


問題2 ：❌以書信格式寫
唔係求情信求佢收你喔，係介紹下自己，有趣地描述下自己等admission老師認識一下你數據上、填表睇唔到嘅一面。

Personal statement開頭點寫好？
Personal statement自擬吸睛標題


問題3 ：（英文問題）❌用Being開句子嘅頭，甚至段落，而呢個being唔係gerund，係participle phrase嘅一部份。

例：❌Being an accounting student in HKU SPACE, I xxxxx
✅As an accounting student in HKU SPACE, I xxxxx

❌Being amazed at how economics can help people, I xxx
✅Amazed at how economics can help people, I xxx
（= I am amazed at how economics can help people, so I xxx，改做participle phrase嘅時候個be可以skip咗淨係保留participle部份，which in this case=amazed (past participle adjective))


問題4 ：❌冇講點解想入呢間u唔想入其他u。
✅好多同學有講點解想讀呢科，❌但就冇講點解想讀呢間u唔想讀其他。其實每間u就算差唔多科，課程都有少少唔同，建議做下資料搜集揾出佢嘅獨特之處。

比較少人有提及嘅建議：
如果你想報果科有final year thesis，可以提及下你thesis想做咩topic（唔駛仔給，大概就得），咁樣show到你有research過個program，同埋有興趣。

💭Myth: Personal Statement一定要一版內❓
唔一定要一版內，一版只係排版建議唔係must，HKU建議字數約1000內（我通常寫9xx），BU、City要600字內 (4000 characters 約600字)。

傳統中國社會以家庭為本位，會以傳宗接代為目的，除了要求子女必須結婚外，更要求他們生育下一代，所謂「不孝有三，無後為大」，不生子女就會被視為不孝，；然而現今時代人們變得獨立，愈來愈重視個人利益，認為結婚生子應是個人意願，不應被上一代的觀念所約束，甚至有了「不婚主義」誕生，而且就算結了婚，也有人因為生活環境所限而不生育下一代。現請以「結婚生子是否必須」為主題，闡述你的個人觀點，並附以論據作支持。
