Unfortunately, many of the antiarrhythmic agents are known to have dangerous proarrhythmic actions—that is, to cause arrhythmias.

Charlie and The Pleasure Factory
In modern times, pleasure has become autonomous. It is taking a life of its own, an existence of its own. In the past, it was merely a product of events and actions; there was the pleasure of having sex, of eating good food, of being in love, or of having a good conversation. You had to be active and to give and interact in order to gain pleasure. It was a result of an exchange; you put on effort so that you can gain it.
Now, pleasure is being mass-produced in nice, pre-packaged, and ready-to-use forms. Today, you can buy pleasure from the supermarket, the drug store, or download it from the internet, personalized, and ad-free. This explains the allure and addictive-ness of things like porn and fast food; porn offers the instant rush of pleasure that comes from seeing naked hot girls, but without the exhausting effort of having to go the extra mile and seduce her. Same applies to fast food; it's (arguably) delicious, it hits the satiety centers of the brain, it's cheap, and it doesn't require you putting effort to make it. This explains why it's so hard to quit porn & lose weight (when your diet is made entirely of french fries and ريزو).
Pleasure serves a very vital biological role, it basically drives us to do the things that give us pleasure: like food, human relationships, and sex. But in modern times, pleasure as such has become dissociated from the causes of it. It can be obtained independently of its causes. Why bother with human interactions when you can watch a sitcom, or talk to ChatGPT and gain (arguably) the same pleasure?

I guess it's a cliché by now, but this looks very similar to "Brave New World" and its soma drug
