This is the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet)
It gives every sound in the language a certain symbol. For example: the «sh» sound in «ship» and the «s» sound in «sugar» are given the same symbol, that is [ ʃ ] because they sound the same, even though they are spelled differently.

It's basically the musical score of the instrument we call "the human voice."
The question of whether someone is a genius or not is simply an argument by the populace as to whether this individual should be deified and deserves his own place in the pantheon of their collective imagination & fantasy. Genius is, by large, a social status.

The Christian acts in a certain way because it is the law, but Jesus did what he did out of an instinctual physiological sensitivity to suffering, similar to that of Buddha or Epicurus. No one who experiences this sensitivity is able to endure extended contact with the world because they “feel every contact too deeply.”
The Christian, on the other hand, behaves in accordance with the rules of the church only in order to gain access to heaven and obtain eternal happiness. The difference is an extremely important one. It is the difference between acting in accord with one’s nature and rebelling against what one is.

واعلَم—أعزّك الله—أنّ للحب حُكمًا على النفوسِ ماضيًا، وسلطانًا قاضيًا، وأمرًا لا يُخالَف، وحدًّا لا يُعصى، ومُلكًا لا يُتعدى، وطاعةً لا تُصرف، ونفاذًا لا يُرد. وأنّه ينقض المِرَر، ويَحلّ المبرَم، ويُحلِّل الجامد، ويُخل الثابت، ويُحلّ الممنوع.

وعنّي أُخبِركَ أني أحببتُ في صباي جاريةً لي شقراءَ الشَعر، فما استحسنتُ من ذلك الوقت سوداء الشعر، ولو أنّها على الشمس أو على صورة الحُسن نفسِه. وإنّي لأجدُ هذا في أصلِ تركيبي من ذلك الوقت، لا تؤاتيني نفسي على سواه، ولا تحب غيره البتة.
