"Ein Fichtenbaum steht einsam" By Heinrich Heine
"There stands a lonely pine-tree"
Translated by Emma Lazarus
Since human nature is contradictory and conflictive in its very essence, therefore, any work that tries to explain human nature must have a room for paradox and nonsense. Such a work would inevitably contain some opposing concepts and contradictory statements and yet remain functional and practical.

A work that tries to explain human nature yet does not account for contradictions at its heart, is not a true description of what human nature is, but a statement of what it should be.
Such a work simply tries to forcefully dictate logic and uniformity on the human soul and mind.

Homo sapiens is also homo demens–Morin wrote–or rather man is a melting pot, a hybrid of reason and emotion, wisdom and madness, order and disorder, calm and restlessness, crisis and project, rigor and excess and even sanctity and delirium. In him, free, chaotic elements and ordered, structured elements live in an interdependent way.

I am tired of it, my arts disgust me, I am not great, why do I pretend!
But, you know it well – I sought greatness!
I wanted to appear a great man and I convinced many: but this lie has been beyond my strength. I am collapsing under it.
Everything about me is a lie; but that I am collapsing – this is genuine!

‘It honours you,’ replied Zarathustra gloomily, casting down his eyes, ‘it honours you that you sought greatness, but it also betrays you. You are not great.’

- Thus Spoke Zarathustra

قام عالم الإقتصاد الإيطالي Carlo Cipolla بنشر كتاب "The basic laws of human stupidity" عام 1978 يوضح فيه -القوانين- الأساسية الخمسة للغباء البشري وهي:
