Freud’s explanations have more in common with a mythology than with science; for example, Freud produces no evidence for his view that anxiety is always a repetition of the anxiety we felt at birth, and yet ‘it is an idea which has a marked attraction,’ as Wittgenstein remarked:

كلمة إنساني و إنسانية فقدت معناها الحرفي والتقليدي وصارت تعني شي أقرب للـ "أخلاقي." أنْ تكون إنساني هو أنْ تكون شخص جيد بالمعنى الحديث للكلمة. تكدر تقارن هالشي بكلمة (متدين أو شريف أو virtuous) اللي جانت سابقًا تعني الفضيلة والأخلاق وتعتبر وسام شرف للمُلَقّب بها. لكن الآن، أخلاق القرن الـ 21 ومعيار الفضيلة هو مدى "إنسانيتك"

حتى كلمة philanthropy بهواي لغات أوروبية اللي تعني أعمال الخير أو الإحسان أو الصدقة، معناها الحرفي هو "مُحِب للبشر" وجاية من الأصل اليوناني philo (حب) + anthropo (بشر).
