اوقات حلوة جانت

عَلى قَدْرِ أهْلِ العَزْم تأتي العَزائِمُ
‏وَتأتي علَى قَدْرِ الكِرامِ المَكارمُ

‏وَتَعْظُمُ في عَينِ الصّغيرِ صغارُها
‏وَتَصْغُرُ في عَين العَظيمِ العَظائِمُ

When one's heart is weighed down with sorrows, even a smile becomes a triumphant act of courage.

الزُهدُ كُلّه بَينَ كَلِمَتَينِ مِنَ القرآن: «لِّكَيْلَا تَأْسَوْا عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلَا تَفْرَحُوا بِمَا آتَاكُمْ» ومَنْ لَم يَأْسَ على المَاضي ولَم يَفرَح بالآتي، فَقَد أَخَذَ الزُّهدَ بِطَرَفَيه.

German: Wer mit Ungeheuern kämpft, mag zusehn, dass er nicht dabei zum
Ungeheuer wird. Und wenn du lange in einen Abgrund blickst, blickt der
Abgrund auch in dich hinein.

English: Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

وأكرِمْ عَشيرَتَكَ فإنّهُم جَنَاحُكَ الذي بِهِ تَطير، وأصلُكَ الذي إلَيه تَصير، ويَدُكَ التي بِها تَصول.
