من الخطأ الافتراضُ بأنّ حياةَ السوادَ الأعظم من السّكان، في البلدِ الذي تتوفّرُ فيهِ الأدلّةُ المعتادة على الحضارة، ليست مُنحَطّةً مثل حياةِ الهمج.
