النهى: العقول

واعلَم—أعزّك الله—أنّ للحب حُكمًا على النفوسِ ماضيًا، وسلطانًا قاضيًا، وأمرًا لا يُخالَف، وحدًّا لا يُعصى، ومُلكًا لا يُتعدى، وطاعةً لا تُصرف، ونفاذًا لا يُرد. وأنّه ينقض المِرَر، ويَحلّ المبرَم، ويُحلِّل الجامد، ويُخل الثابت، ويُحلّ الممنوع.

وعنّي أُخبِركَ أني أحببتُ في صباي جاريةً لي شقراءَ الشَعر، فما استحسنتُ من ذلك الوقت سوداء الشعر، ولو أنّها على الشمس أو على صورة الحُسن نفسِه. وإنّي لأجدُ هذا في أصلِ تركيبي من ذلك الوقت، لا تؤاتيني نفسي على سواه، ولا تحب غيره البتة.

يمكننا، عبر رؤية التطور البشري على أنّه كوميديا رومانسية، أنْ نفهم ليس فقط قدراتِنا الإبداعية لصنع أشياء جديدة، بل أيضًا قدرتنا على إعادة إبتكار أنفسنا بعد كل علاقة جنسية وعاطفية. الناس يتصرفون بشكل مختلف عندما يقعون بحبّ أشخاصٍ مختلفين. إذ نميل لأن نطابق إهتمامتنا وتفضيلاتنا مع تلك التي يملكها الشخص الذي نحبّه؛ قد تُعجَب بمتسلقة جبال، وفجأةً، تشعر بالانجذاب لمرتفعات جبال الألب الجميلة. أو ربما تبدأين بمواعدة عازف جاز، ثم بعدها ترغبين ببيع ألبومات الميتال التي تملكينها والتي باتت تبدو صبيانيةً لكِ الآن.

“What have you truly loved thus far? What has ever uplifted your soul, what has dominated and delighted it at the same time?” Assemble these revered objects in a row before you and perhaps they will reveal a law by their nature and their order: the fundamental law of your very self. Compare these objects, see how they complement, enlarge, outdo, transfigure one another; how they form a ladder on whose steps you have been climbing up to yourself so far; because your true self does not lie buried deep within you, but rather rises immeasurably high above you, or at least above what you commonly take to be your I.

بالنسبة لنيتشه، عيب البشرية الأكبر هو الكسل. لأن الكسل هو اللي يمنعهم من أنْ يفكرون بأنفسهم ويكونون ذواتهم الحقيقية. لهذا أغلب البشر بدلّا من صنع أفكارهم بأنفسهم، واتباع رغباتهم الفردية والحقيقية تشوفهم يقلدون ويستوردون أفكارهم وحتى رغباتهم من جيرانهم أو عائلتهم أو أصدقائهم، وأي شخص يعتبروه مهم. بالنتيجة كلهم يصيرون أشبه بمنتجات المصانع "factory products" لأن كلهم متشابهين قلبًا وقالبًا... لأنهم أكسل من أن يبذلوا الجهد اللازم حتى يكونوا ذواتهم.
