هو مصطلح ابتكره واحد من المؤرخين، ترجمته تقريبًا: "إزدراء الأحفاد للأجداد."

اللي هو لما جيل معيّن (الأحفاد) يحتقر أجداده وتاريخه ويسخّف أصوله وثقافته الأصلية ويعتبرها خالية من الأخلاق والمبادئ.

الدافع الأساسي لهكذا شعور هو أنّ الأحفاد ينظرون للماضي بأخلاقيات ومبادئ الحاضر، متجاهلين—جاهلين غالبًا—أنّ الوضع بالماضي جان مختلف بشكل كبير عن الوضع الحالي (سواء الوضع الاجتماعي أو الاقتصادي أو غيره)، وبالنتيجة، هذا الازدراء يقطعهم عن التاريخ، ويجعلهم يتخيلون أنفسهم منفصلين عنه، أو كأنّهم لو جانوا بمكان أجدادهم جانت حتكون قراراتهم أفضل. الأحفاد يتخيلون أنفسهم حاليًا بعالم جديد تمامًا ووصلوا لـ "نهاية التاريخ" وأخلاقياتهم هي المطلقة والصالحة لكل زمان ومكان والمقياس الذي يجب أنْ يُحاسَب وفقًا له الماضي والمستقبل.
أبناء الحاضر، وفقًا لهذا المصطلح، يجهلون أنّهم مثل أجدادهم، رح يصيرون "قصة تاريخية" و، إذا ما احترموا التاريخ، رح يتم ازدراءهم من قبل أحفادهم.
وهمّ أيضًا يجهلون القيمة العملية للتاريخ. لأنه يوفر تجارب لا حصر لها من الممكن التعلم منها وأنّ "من لا يتعلمون التاريخ، محكومٌ عليهم بتكراره".

يكلك من بين الطرق اللي يستخدمها البشر بشكل لا-واعي حتى يقيّمون مدى صحة الفرد، هو النظر لبياض العين. لأن بياض العين ممكن يتأثر بالحالات المرضية (اليرقان بأمراض الكبد، اللون الأزرق بالروماتيزم، وغيرها) وبتقدم العمر.

هالشي ذكرني بالعرب شلون جانوا يحبّون (الحَوَر) اللي هو شدة البياض في بياض العين وشدة السواد في سوادها، ومنها اشتقّوا إسم "حوراء".

أما جماعة الطبية، كلكم ماخذين الـ general exam وشلون بيه كومة تفاصيل عن العين وفحص العين.

إنّ الدرس المهم الذي عَلّمَتنا إياه العائلة هو أنّها الرابط الوحيد الذي لا ينكسر بين البشر، للأفضل أو للأسوأ.
