I would say to the House as I said to those who have joined this government: "I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat". We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering.

You ask, what is our policy? I will say: It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark and lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: Victory. لما تاخذ نفس عميق وتغطس بالمي (خاصة اذا جان بارد) ويتبلل وجهك ويدخل المي لتجويف الأنف، رح تنتقل اشارة عصبية* للدماغ تكله أنّك تحت المي ولازم تحافظ على الاوكسجين المتبقي. الدماغ رح يرسل إشارات عصبية** لكل أنحاء جسمك حتى:
- تقلل معدل دقات القلب (bradycardia).
- تقلص الاوعية الدموية بأطرافك وتحتفظ بتدفق الدم والاوكسجين للأعضاء الحيوية فقط مثل القلب والرئتين والدماغ.
- الطحال يتقلص حتى يطلق كريات الدم الحمر المخزونة بيه.

هالتغييرات السريعة بعمل جسمك هدفها هو أنّ تخلي الدماغ والقلب يحصلون على كمية كافية من الدم والاوكسجين حتى ما يتوقفون عن العمل. كل الكائنات الفقارية اللي تتنفس الهواء تمتلك هذا المُنعكَس العصبي، وأعتقد سموه mammalian بالذات لأنّ الثدييات اللي تعيش بالبحر مثل الحيتان والدلافين والفقمات تمتلك هذا المنعكس العصبي بشكل أقوى من بقية الحيوانات، مثل البشر وباقي الحيوانات اللي تعيش فوق الارض.

*العصب القحفي الخامس هو اللي ينقل الاشارة من الوجه للدماغ
**الجهاز الparasympathetic رح يشتغل حتى يقلل معدل دقات قلبك، وبنفس الوقت يشتغل الsympathetic حتى يسبب تقلص الأوعية الدموية بأطرافك وأعضائك غير الحيوية
