لمّا رأتْ أثرَ السِنانِ بخدّه
ظلّتْ تُقابِلُهُ بوجهٍ عابِسِ
خَلَفَ السِنان بِهِ مَواقِعَ لَثْمِها
بِئسَ الخلافةُ للمحبِ البائِسِ
إنّي ليُعجبُني إذا اشتَجَرَ القَنا
أثرُ السنان بِصَحنِ خدّ الفارسِ
