أقدم لك عزيزي القارئ واحد من أعظم آثار الفوهرر أدولف هتلر الباقية حتى الآن في ألمانيا.
أبراج "فلاك لوفتواف" هي سلسلة من الأبراج التي تم بناؤها بعد أن قصفت القوات الجوية الملكية برلين في عام 1940.

بعد هذا القصف أمر هتلر ببناء عدة أبراج دفاعية لحماية مدنه من قصف الحلفاء، فتم بناء أول 3 أبراج في برلين عام 1940، ثم تبعها بناء سلسلة من هذه الأبراج في مناطق مختلفة.

هذه الأبراج كانت حصن منيع - بالمعنى الحرفي لحصون القرون الوسطى - حيث بلغ سمك جدرانها الخرسانية 3.5 متر، وتم تجهيزها بمدافع مضادة للطائرات (تطلق 8000 قذيفة في الدقيقة الواحدة على بعد 14 كم)، وأطباق رادار تختبئ داخل البرج فور وصول طائرات العدو، وملاجئ في الطوابق السفلية تتسع ل 10 آلاف مدني مع جناح للمستشفى! .

فكانت هذه الأبراج من أكثر الأماكن أماناً في ألمانيا، حيث لجئ إليها مايقارب ال 30 ألف من سكان برلين وحدها، وأخر الأماكن التي أستسلمت لقوات الأتحاد السوفيتي، بعد أن أنقطعت الأمدادات عنها.

Max Planck was often unlucky in life. His beloved first wife died early, in 1909, and the younger of his two sons was killed in the First World War. He also had twin daughters whom he adored. One died giving birth. The surviving twin went to look after the baby and fell in love with her sister's husband. They married and two years later she died in childbirth. In 1944, when Planck was eighty-five, an Allied bomb fell on his house and he lost everything -papers, diaries, a lifetime of accumulations. The following year his surviving son was caught in a conspiracy to assassinate Hitler and executed.
He threw himself body and soul into work on entropy, produced his results and learned to his dismay that the important work on entropy had in fact been done already, by a retiring scholar at Yale University named J. Willard Gibbs.

Still he was the first to push on the door for us to enter the quantum age😂
