الدهون المشبعة هي دهون جزيئاتها متحتوي على أواصر مزدوجة او ثلاثية... بالتالي تكون "مشبعة بالهايدروجين"

الدهون غير المشبعة هي الدهون اللي تحتوي على أواصر مزدوجة وبالتالي ينقصها كم ذرة هايدروجين ولهذا هي "غير مشبعة بالهايدروجين"
