In fact, he was detained for 81 days and and released later to a house arrest in 2011. The Chinese government retained his passport for almost 4 years in which he couldn’t leave the country until it was returned to him in 2015 where he moved to Berlin.

Sunflower Seeds explores the complexity of the Chinese individual’s relationship with society, the authorities and tradition.

In] the times I grew up, it was a common place symbol for The People, the sunflower faces the trajectory of the red sun, so must the masses feel towards their leadership. Handfuls were carried in pockets, to be consumed on all occasions both casual and formal. So much more than a snack, it was the minimal ingredient that constituted the most essential needs and desires. Their empty shells were the ephemeral traces of social activity. The least common denominator for human satisfaction. I wonder what would have happened without them?

I don't know what to feel about his art.
On one hand, it makes sense and it holds really interesting symbolism.
On the other, it's unconventional which makes it hard to understand or to be appreciated

بعض أنواع العلوم تأثرت بالوثنية و الشخصيات الميثولوجية
مثل تطور علم النفس الحديث وعلوم وطب الأعصاب من خلال دراسات علمية على أساطير موجودة بآداب الشعوب القديمة
مثلا تحليلات سيغموند فرويد لبعض الشخصيات مثل اوديب و نركسوس و سايكي و ايروس و ثاناتوس و نظريات كارل يونغ و جاك لاكان حول العقل البشر البشري و خياله باختلاق هالاساطير و الهة وشخصيات اسطورية ضمن ثقافتهم وخيال الشعوب القديمة
....... فكل هالقصص الاسطورية الها فضل بكشف خبايا النفس والعقل والاعصاب وبدون تقليل من شأنهم بالفلسفة او الأدب لان ماكان اشتهرت هالاساطير ووصلت لعصرنا لولا الأدب القديم و الملاحم الأدبية
....الشغلة الثانية هو انه نسمع الاديان الحديثة تتكلم عن الوثنية بنبرة استصغار و ناسيين الفائدة الي طلعت منها لو أخذنا منها الفايدة أكثر من التسلية

و الأهم هو قدرة هالعلماء الي كدروا يحللون النفس و العقل والانسان بشكل عام و مهدوا طرق للعلم الحديث من خلال دراستهم لشخصيات خيالية.

I think his work is a bit hard to understand for those who don’t obtain much knowledge about China’s history and the current issue they have with their government and authorities, especially that media doesn’t focus on their issues that much

Conclusion:
Longer life expectancy is associated with overall rising cancer incidence and mortality in China. However, there is a complex relationship between cancer patterns (incidence, mortality and types) and life expectancy. Ongoing trends, as reflected by differences among cities/counties with varying life expectancy, include a reduction in infection-related cancers (for example, stomach, liver and cervical cancers) and an increase in cancers linked to a western lifestyle (for example, breast and colorectal cancers)

البحث هذا يبين وجود علاقة طردية بين زيادة معدلات العمر، وزيادة الإصابة بالسرطان [بالصين، حيث تم إجراء البحث]
الخلايا السرطانية هي شي "طبيعي إلى حد ما". كل دقيقتين تقريباً تتكون خلية سرطانية بجسمك، لكن أما تقتل نفسها، أو الجهاز المناعي يقوم بالقضاء عليها قبل متصير كتلة سرطانية.

الفكرة هي أنه كلما تكبر بالعمر، كلما تزيد إحتمالية تكوّن خلية سرطانية ميتعرف عليها الجهاز المناعي، أو متقتل نفسها... وبالتالي تستمر بالانقسام والتكاثر لحد ميتكون ورم سرطاني.
بالإضافة، مثل ما انذكر بل conclusion ان امراض السرطان المرتبطة بالعدوى قلت نسبتها. لكن إزدادت نسبة الاصابة بالسرطان المرتبط بنمط الحياة الغربي.

تكدر تكول أنه السرطان هو وحدة من الdownsides للتقدم الصحي للبشر وزيادة معدل العمر (رغم أنه هذا تبسيط جبير للمسألة -وممكن يكون غلط- لأن مثل ما كال البحث، العلاقة معقدة بين معدل العمر وبين الاصابة بالسرطان)
