Modern politics has reached the end of its tether. The modern political paradigm—that is, the body of political concepts and beliefs bequeathed to us by the philosophical movement known as the Enlightenment—is no longer intellectually tenable or practically viable. We are therefore in deep political crisis and confront the necessity for an abrupt and decisive change to a radically different type of politics.

The traditional teaching method of “see one, do one, teach one” in surgical residency programs is simple but still applicable

Notes on ECG:

• RBBB (Right-Bundle Branch Block) is usually benign and can be considered a normal variant in ECG, while LBBB is always pathological.

• Right-axis deviation can be benign especially in tall, thin people. While left-axis deviation is always pathological.

• 1st degree heart block and Mobitz l (wenckebach phenomenon) are also relatively benign in themselves, although they can be signs for other abnormalities like coronary heart disease. Mobitz ll is always pathological.

‘Why so hard?’ the charcoal once said to the diamond; ‘for are we not close relations?’

Why so soft? O my brother, thus I ask you: for are you not – my brother?
Why so soft, so unresisting and yielding?’ said the diamond.
