St. Peter’s Basilica and Piazza, incredible scale!

The piazza was designed by Bernini who intended for it to have those “Embracing arms” or “Welcoming arms” to reinforce the idea/ideology that the church is welcoming all the Catholics.

I mean look at the little humans next to the damn colonnade! How huge is that! Literally incredible.
Back to Gothic architecture… Fonthill Abbey that was built around the 1700s and was later demolished.
Palace of Westminster, also Gothic architecture.
Gothic architecture is literally thrilling to look at. How can a building evoke such feelings of thrill and excitement??

I remembered John Greene's idea of instincts & skills.
He says that mastery (of any skill) simply means that u become so acquainted with the skill until it becomes instinctual. Something like a second-nature.
That's why professionals have a reliable "hunch".

And that's why when we say thay we can do something easily and perfectly, we say: "like riding a bike". Cuz riding a bike is almost an instinct once u master it.
Lesson is, we should rely more on our subconscious mind and instincts
