We are so easily manipulated as to who counts as "US" and who counts as a "THEM". And one of the brilliant things militaries all over the world do, whether you're talking about clans with warrior classes or state militaries, is a brilliant understanding of how to make non-relatives feel like they're a band of brothers, and how to make "THEM" seem so different they hardly count as human.

جميع الأطفال، حتى المكفوفين منهم، يعرفون شلون يبتسمون بشكل غريزي.
على ما يبدو فالإبتسام هو وحدة من الأفعال الغريزية اللي يسووها البشر بشكل تلقائي بدون أنْ يحتاجون يتعلموها.

الفكرة هي أنّ الإبتسام هو فعل إجتماعي بالدرجة الأساس. ولما الأطفال المكفوفين (حتى وهمّ مشايفين وجه مبتسم بحياتهم كلها) يعرفون شلون يؤدون هذا الفعل الإجتماعي بشكل غريزي، فهذا يدل على أنّنا كائنات إجتماعية أكثر بكثير مما نتصور.
