The other 116 patients in the study—60 percent of those enrolled—had no evidence of either current or past Lyme disease, even though all had been diagnosed with the disease. Clearly these results show that Lyme disease is being seriously over-diagnosed. But the results also shed light on the issue of uncertainty in medicine.

أكو جزء من الدماغ اسمه القشرة الحركية (motor cortex) وهو المسؤول عن تحريك كل عضلات الجسم الإرادية.
الغريب هو أنّ الجزء الأكبر من القشرة الحركية وظيفته هي أنْ يحرك عضلات اليدين والوجه فقط. بالنسبة لليدين، هالشي لأننا نستخدمهن لهواي مهام دقيقة ومعقّدة ومهمة.
أما السبب بكون جزء كبير نسبيًا من القشرة الحركية مخصص للوجه فقط، فهو غالبًا لأننا نستخدم عضلات وجوهنا بشكل دقيق ومعقد حتى نتواصل، لأن تعابير الوجه بالنسبة للبشر تنقل الكثير من الرسائل والمعلومات اللي حتى اللغة ما تكدر تنقلها بنفس الكفاءة؛ الابتسام وتعابير الاندهاش والخوف والحزن كلها ننقلها عن طريق وجوهنا، مو كلماتنا. لغة الجسد مهمة جدًا وربما تكون مهملة جدًا خاصة بزمننا الحالي حيث الـ texting صار منتشر أكثر بهواي من المكالمات أو اللقاءات بالحياة الواقعية.
