هي فكرة طرحها مؤلفي كتاب "Why Nations Fail" مفادها أنّ الأنظمة السياسية والإقتصادية تعمل بكفاءة أفضل وتولّد الرخاء والازدهار للمجتمع فقط إذا سمحت للعقول اللامعة ضمن المجتمع بأن "تهدم" بعض أجزاءه، و"تبدع" أفكار وخطط جديدة بمكان القديمة... ولهذا هو تدمير إبداعي Creative destruction، لأنه هدم للقديم، لكنه بنفس الوقت، إبداع لشيء جديد وأكثر فعالية.

هذا نوع من النمو يتطلب ظروف ملائمة تتمثل بالديمقراطية؛ توزيع السلطة والثروة بشكل واسع بحيث تمتلك مجاميع المواطنين سلطة سياسية واقتصادية كافية للضغط على الدولة حتى تمرر القوانين والاجراءات اللي يرغب بيها الشعب. بالإضافة لتوفّر سلطة مركزية قادرة على فرض القانون على المجتمع بأكمله.

الفكرة ممكن تعميمها لمجالات أبعد من السياسة والإقتصاد. لأن كل مجالات المعرفة البشرية تمر عليها أفكار تجديدية تغيّر النظام القديم وتحوّله لشيء آخر، ولكن حتى هذا النظام الجديد بعد فترة يصل لمرحلة الجمود. بالنتيجة، تطوّر القدرات والمعرفة البشرية يتطلب وجود أشخاص شجعان بما فيه الكفاية لهدم الأفكار القديمة، لكن مبدعين بما فيه الكفاية لتوفير بديل أفضل.

It doesn't seem like an important idea on its own, but I feel like it's gonna have lots of connections with other insights in the future, or the past.
