إليزابيث ذا فرجن ماتت بدون وريث (لأنها فرجن، duh)، ورثها جيمس الأول ملك إسكتلندا (صارت مؤامرة البارود وسالفة گاي فوكس اثناء حكمه)... جيمس الأول قرر يوحد ويلز، اسكتلندا، إنكلترا، ووإيرلندا ضمن مملكة وحدة تحت حكمه هو... نتيجة لهذا نشر القوانين الانكليزية بكل المقاطعات ودعم الأنجليكانية (المذهب المسيحي السائد بإنكلترا) وهلشي أزعج بقية الكالفنيين، والكاثوليك وغيرهم...
جيمس أيضاً زوّج إبنه تشارلز من هنرييتا ماريا الكاثوليكية، حتى يقوي ألاواصر بين المذاهب، لكن هنرييتا رفضت تحول للأنجليكانية وهلشي سبب توتر.

مات جيمس، إجة وراه إبنه تشارلز اللي وقع على شي إسمه (bill of rights) قانون أو معاهدة الحقوق او مدري شسمها بالعربي... هلشي معناه أنه الملك ميكدر يرفع الضرائب بدون موافقة البرلمان... الملك شسوة؟ غلس على البرلمان وما استدعاهم لمدة 10 سنين (يعني برلمان بس بالاسم)... بس مرة من المرات شن حرب (ومنا ماتذكر الاحداث زين ورح تبدي معلوماتي تصير غلط وinaccurate😂) اعتقد جانت على فرنسا، ورفع الضرائب من كيفه بدون ميستدعي البرلمان حتى... وهاي جانت شرارة الحرب الأهلية الإنكليزية
