A few thoughts on Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I don’t talk about it much on social media, but I’ve quietly struggled with depressive feelings for as long as I can remember. Nothing ever suicidal, but some days are heavy enough that I have to intentionally fight them by working on the chemistry in my mind and body.

The weight of it often depends on situations happening around me, but either way I try to combat it through things like prayer, focusing on gratitude for all I’ve been given, positive affirmations, reading, early morning workouts, sunlight, serving and thinking of others, creating videos to wake people up, and trying to be a positive force in the world, even as a sinner who keeps falling and getting back up, over and over.

This morning was unexpectedly tough, even on Easter. As I laid in bed thinking about the current state of the world and what is inevitably coming, it was heavy. I don’t think most people fully grasp the seriousness of what we’re facing right now.

Before jumping into the usual social media rounds, I stopped and just pondered the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Almost immediately, the fears began to lift and melt away.

To me, the resurrection of Jesus Christ means all of our sin, sorrows, pain, depressions and darkness are not permanent. It gives us ultimate hope in the One who came to earth to die for us, so we can truly live again.

Just the thought of Him walking out of the tomb fills me with a hope I can’t fully explain; a hope that keeps me moving forward in faith, trusting that this earthly life is, and always will be, worth it in the end.

Heavenly Father has a personal plan for each of us, and it’s only because of His Son, Jesus Christ, that it’s all made possible.

“They found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee.”

Luke 24:2-6

Happy Easter, everyone. Jesus Christ lives.

I need a quick favor from anyone who has TikTok. Someone is impersonating me on the platform and scamming people by pretending to offer crypto investments.

I was banned from TikTok a few years ago, so this is not my account. Please report the fake profile if you have a free minute. I’ll put the username/link 👇🏼
