Stocks that You Could Bet on to Ride India's Decade

Indian economy is at an inflection point of emerging as an economic powerhouse. This could be a rare lucky moment for investors in Indian stocks.

Stocks to Ride India's Decade

Here’s an extract…

Richa on profiting from the biggest megatrend in our lives right now…

Buffett has been investing for almost eight decades. This is more than one third of America’s lifetime as a sovereign nation.

His investing genius is without question. But by his own admission, he was also born lucky. His luck was to be born in America in 1930 when the country’s economic growth was firing on all the engines.

That’s quite humble of him to acknowledge. But there is also a great truth in that statement. Being born at the right time and the right place helped Buffett ride the great American tailwind.

Unless investors in India do something stupid, I believe that with a little patience and common sense.

Boring Steel Stocks Can Outshine Lithium In 2023

Both India and Turkey are set to change the global supply chain.

The Indian Steel Rush

Here’s an extract…

Tanushree on why she is bullish on stell stocks…

According to the World Steel Association, India’s steel demand could soar to 200 m by 2030. This will make India the highest steel consumer among major economies.

Add to that the demand for steel in the aftermath of earthquakes in Turkey. Rebuilding and reconstruction of Turkey after the devastating earthquakes is expected to cause global massive demand for steel.

The undercurrents for demand of steel and much stronger than the fancier metals needed for smartphones. The visibility is much higher. And Indian steel makers are much better placed to cater to the demand, both domestically and for exports.

ONGC Share Price: Oil is Well!

The possibility of a downside risk in ONGC share price appears limited. Investors could add this undervalued stock to their watchlist.

Why ONGC Share Price is Rising

Here’s an extract…

This is why the company’s stock has been doing well recently…

The key reason for investors to monitor ONGC share price with a microscopic lens is the windfall tax levied by Centre on profits made by oil marketing companies (OMCs) like ONGC on any price they get for crude oil above US$75 per barrel. This windfall tax is reviewed on a fortnightly basis.

ONGC recently reported a 26% year on year (YoY) growth in its standalone net profit to Rs 110.4 billion (bn) in the December 2022 quarter. This despite its tax burden having risen 36.4% YoY in the quarter under review to Rs 36.3 bn.

Small-cap stocks are lucrative because they offer quick returns and because small companies have more potential to grow.

On the other hand, large-cap stocks offer steady returns over a longer period of time. They are usually mature established businesses, with limited growth potential.

Mid-cap stocks offer a combination of both. That’s why a large chunk of investors prefer mid-cap stocks over smallcaps or bluechip stocks. Midcaps provide a balance between growth and stability.

As per the market regulator, companies that rank from 101 to 250 in terms of market capitalisation are known as midcap companies.
