ኤጀንሲው በሀገሪቱ ለጤና አጠባበቅ ስርዓት የህክምና ግብአቶችን በመግዛት፣በማከማቸት፣በማስተዳደር እና በማሰራጨት ረገድ ቁልፍ ተቋም ነው።

በሽታወችን ለመከላከል፣ ለምርመራ እና ለሕክምና የሚያስፈልጉ የመድኃኒቶችን ከሀገር ውስጥ አና ከውጭ አቅራቢወች ገዝቶ ከ 4ሺ በላይ የጤና ተቋማት በ19 ቅርጫፎቹ እያቀረበ ይገኛል፣በቀጣይ ሁለት አመታትም በመደበኛ(RDF) 837 በጤና ፕሮግራም (Health program ) 163 ያላነሱ የተመረጡ የህክምና ግብአቶች የግዥ መዘርዝሩ (PPL) መሠረት ያቀርባል።
