Putting Trust Out of Business.

The LiquidApps team released an article on Medium discussing how current business models could evolve through Autonomous Agents. In the article, they highlighted how through blockchains and cryptocurrencies, humans can overcome some of their social and trust limits. For this reason, many industries could see fundamental structural changes by embracing the collaborative force of distributed networks, such as:
- Gaming (Multi-Layered Gaming)
- Digital Art (Art Dealing On Chain)
- Supply Chain Management (Integrated Supply Chains)
- Healtcare (Decentralized Genetics)

"Cryptocurrencies have enabled a way to communicate value across the internet, while smart contract technology could automated the legal and administrative processes necessary to facilitate functional cooperation. Since commercial collaboration can finally occur without the prior establishment of a formal business relationship, scaling human cooperation networks is now possible."

From the Missing Piece to Proxy-as-a-Service, a new proposal for EOS vote-security.

After having read the two latest proposals from EOS New York “The Missing Piece to the EOS Incentive Model” and EOS Nation “Proxy-as-a-Service”, Hack ED - @edcrypto1 - published an article with a new proposal to improve EOS vote-security.

In the article Hack ED explained how, to increase vote-security through a reward system for voters, this reward system needs three main features:
1. An incentive for voters to increase the vote participation and consequently the security of the chain.
2. This incentive must be non-biased, to increase the strength of the BPs.
3. If carried out through inflation, it could deplete the value of the token.

He then proposed a system in which:
1. Each Block Producer can spontaneously and voluntarily distribute in a common fund part of its own BP Reward.
2. Their maximum contribution must have a limit, so as not to run into a “race to the bottom”.
3. The fund must be distributed to all voters, regardless of which BPs they voted for. It must be a non-biased vote.

According to the proposal, the limit of the maximum contribution should be 1/30 of BPs' rewards, for an active BP that receives 700 EOS per day, this is about 23 EOS per day.

"Currently with 1 EOS we are able to vote up to 30 BPs, this means that the value of the vote of 1 EOS is 1/30 its economic value. BPs receive 1% of the total EOS supply, i.e. about 10,000,000 EOS. If each BP would donate 1/30 of its reward to the common fund, around 333,333 EOS would be obtained per year. [...] If these funds were used as a reward it would be 0.111% per year for the voters"

EOSIO Labs Release: The EOSIO Explorer.

Block. One announced a new released for EOSIO Labs: EOSIO Explorer. EOSIO Explorer is a new web-based graphical user interface to improve the developer experience of interacting and monitoring EOSIO-based applications and networks in development. This tool helps developers reduce EOSIO app development time through a number of ways and makes EOSIO smart contract development more accessible.

Important: EOSIO Explorer is designed specifically to be a tool for local development. Therefore, numerous things must be kept in mind:

1. Wallet keys used for this tool may be compromised if your machine is not properly secure. Keys for live wallets should not be used in EOSIO Explorer as the tool does not include appropriate security measures.
2 .The tool is not compatible with the EOSIO Mainnet or other public EOSIO-based blockchains
3. Tools that do not match the versions listed in required tools or OSes not listed in the platform support list may cause issues

IQ Delegated Stake, Passive Income, and Editor Guilds.

The Co-Founder and President of Everipedia, Sam Kazemian, recently published an article where he explains how the future utility of the IQ token can evolve. Currently, the IQ token works as stake/equity in the Everipedia network. The team envision Everipedia as a private corporation, where every single token holder has a right to vote through his IQ token.

They are currently looking into building a delegated stake system at the token level for IQ. IQ holders will be able to delegate their voting power to other EOS accounts willing to vote on their behalf and use this stake to edit articles. This mechanism create 2 immediate consequences:
1. IQ holders can now earn passive income by delegating their stake
2. Groups of publishers can compete to receive stake in a similar way to the EOS BPs.

"In the coming days, the Everipedia team will be laying out the groundwork for baking in this feature in the everipdiaiq and eparticlectr EOS contracts. This update will need a formal tokenholder referendum by the community for final implementation. "

Bitcoin Pizza Day and PIZZA Token, comparisons and airdrop details.

Today 22 May, 2019 the whole crypto community celebrates the Bitcoin Pizza Day. Exactly 9 years ago on this date the first Bitcoin transaction was sent and the history was made. The developer Laszlo Hanyecz bought 2 pizzas, quoted at $41, for 10,000 BTC.

It is no coincidence that just today PIZZA - USDE published an article in which they explain the features of their stablecoin system and the differences from those that already exist. PIZZA - USDE is a transparent and free collateralizing stablecoin ecosystem which supports decentralized issuing and high-performance real-time settlement.

PIZZA is is the governance token in the system, used by holders to vote and get system profits. USDE is the stablecoin of the system, 1:1 pegged to US Dollar and is backed by EOS collateral.

Comparison with Other Stablecoins
- VS. USDT
- VS. bitUSD
- VS. DAI and EOSDT

In the PIZZA - USDE system, holders are rewarded with PIZZA token to strengthen the overall system stability.
PIZZA token can be received in different ways:
- System reward distributed every week
- Airdrop
- System dividends based on the share of staked PIZZA
- Purchase through transaction

The first snapshot for the PIZZA token is scheduled to be on June 1, 14:59:59 (GMT); while the actual airdrop will start on June 8. Token holders will receive 1 PIZZA token for every 100 EOS in their account.

Configurable inflation to eosio.system contract.

The EOS Argentina team made a pull request to the eosio repository to have the token inflation rate set as a parameter. This update allows Block Producers to easily change the inflation rate without replacing the System Contract and hard code a different percentage. This is very useful for every EOSIO chain that would like to test different inflation rates.

The pull request has already been merged in the eosio repository by B1 and EOS Argentina already plan to propose it and test it on Kylin.
