The EOS User Agreement was approved by 15/21 active Block Producers. From this moment on, the old constitution can be considered replaced by the EUA proposed by EOS New York.

Switcheo partnership with Obolus to launch an EOS DEX.

Switcheo announced their new partnership with Obulus to launch the EOS version of the Switcheo Decentralize Exchange. Switcheo Network is the first decentralized exchange on the NEO blockchain which now allows trading of Ethereum, NEO and soon EOS tokens. Obolus is a research and development company active in the finance, and blockchain sectors. They started developing their own decentralized exchange technology using the paradigms of the financial systems.

REX testing complete, first stage proposed on-chain.

The EOS Authority team recently completed the testing for the Resource Exchange (REX). Besides testing REX on internal machines and Testnets (like Jungle, BOS TestNet, etc) they also covered tests on the initialization parameters described by Block.one and they all work as expected.

Now we enter the next phase for the REX deployment; this is a three-step process:

1. Create the eosio.rex account
2. Update eosio.token contract
3. Load the REX smart contract

Currently EOS Authority proposed on-chain the eosio.rex account creation. The proposal has already been approved by 13 Block Producers and it only takes two more for the proposal to pass.

In the latest article published by Block.One, they explore what are the issues currently posed by passwords, and how they can be solved in the near future.

Problems:
- Hearsay Problem: any info received from one party about the actions of a second party that can't be substantiated.
- Blank Check Problem: take action on behalf of the user without the user's consent.
- Password weaknesses

Block.One proposed a new solution to move beyond passwords problems: the concept of "passes" and the digital "Pass Manager". A Pass is a conceptual abstraction that encapsulates credential info (keys). Through Passes and Pass Managers, users can easily prove their identity just like the physical analog of pass cards.

"The user simply arrives at a service (whether it is a web app, a native app, a point of sale system, or a kiosk), and presents a pass to sign in or authorize an action. This is like a college student using their College ID to gain admission to a collegiate sports event".
