Visa is not required for the following categories of citizens of the Russian Federation:

🔸having a temporary residence permission or a residence permission in the territory of Poland or other Schengen State, enter, stay and leave the territory of Poland on the basis of valid documents proving the identity, permissions for stay or temporary stay;

🔸members of Russian civil aviation aircraft when there are entries in the General Declaration and the flight setting;

🔸members of civilian maritime vessels when there are entries in the crew list for temporary shore leave while the ship is in the port;

🔸crews and aircraft maintenance staff involved in emergency and rescue flights;

🔸air transport passengers having transit flights through the territory of Poland and having the documents for entry into the country of destination and airline ticket with a confirmed date of departure from the airport transfer in Poland within 24 hours since arrival. These individuals have no right to leave the airport, except with the permission of the competent border authorities;

🔸holders of diplomatic passports, excluding the work;

You will be required to pass an examination in basic constitutional studies in the Hungarian language.

The required period for citizenship may be shortened if you were born in Hungary (5 years), married to a Hungarian citizen or parent of Hungarian citizen (3 years), you have Hungarian ancestors (immediate after getting your residency card) or by decision of the President of Hungary.
