📜 Original version:
Early adopters are suspicious of something that is too polished. If it's ready for everyone to adopt, how much advantage can one get by being early? As a result additional features or polish beyond what earlier adopters demand is a form of wasted resources and time

😘 KISS version:
If you make your product too perfect, your early adopters won't probably like it. Because if it's so perfect Then others can use it too. But they wanted to use it before others and now they can't. So if you make your product too perfect you're also wasting time and resources.

What differentiates the success stories from the failures is that the successful entrepreneurs had the foresight, the ability and the tools to discover which parts of their plans were working brilliantly and which were misguided and adapt their strategies accordingly.

😘 Kiss version
The difference between successful and unsuccessful companies is that successful companies tried to make sure that their plans worked well and if they didn't, they would change their plans based on the lessons they learned.

There is a big difference between repeat business and loyalty. Repeat business is when people do business with you multiple times. Loyalty is when people are willing to turn down a better product or a better price to continue doing business with you.

😘Kiss version
There is a big difference between businesses with good retention rates and businesses with loyal customers.
Retention means your customers buy from you again and again. But loyal customers buy only from you even if other businesses have better and cheaper products.

Depending on how you structured the funding of your company and how much say your investors have they will let you know eventually their "preferences".

These do not just extend to product decisions but especially to distribution models: product-led vs Sales-led.  This has a lot of potential to create absolute mayhem if taken to heart at the wrong moment as you are maybe still figuring one approach out.

😘Kiss version
Your investors will tell you how they like your business to work based on how much power and share you give them.

And it's not just about the product. But also about your growth. For example they may try to make you grow your sales numbers before improving your product. And if you always do what your investors say especially when you are still testing, it can have negative effect on your business.

Morning everybody🌻

📜Original version:
Effectively telling the world about our product is so important that some companies even create a separate position, the product marketing manager. A PMM is very similar to a PM, but a PM tends to be more internally focused—getting the product built—while a PMM is externally focused—working with customers to understand their needs and to communicate the product’s value.

😘KISS version:
It is so important to introduce people to your product effectively that even some companies have a dedicated job position for it. The name of that position is product marketing manager. It is like a PM. But a PM is responsible more for delivery and the PMM is responsible for knowing the customers' needs and he or she helps them to know the benefits of our solution.

Minimum viable products range in complexity from extremely simple smoke tests (little more than an advertisement) to actual early prototypes complete with problems and missing features. Deciding exactly how complex an MVP needs to be cannot be done formulaically. It requires judgment. Luckily this judgment is not difficult to develop.

😘KISS version
Minimum viable products can be very simple like a landing page or they can be prototypes with some features. And many of these features may have alot of bugs. There is no rule to know what type of MVP is good for a product. It needs decision-making skills. Fortunately, these skills are not hard to learn.
