Officially, America celebrates “Columbus Day” but a growing number of people and institutions reject that, and celebrate Indigenous People’s Day instead. And Mexicans and Mexican Americans celebrate Dia de los Muertes, or Day of the Dead, on November 1, while the Jewish community observes its most important holidays.
