“lie” vs. “lay”

🚘 She said it was her car! She lies to me all the time.

🛌 Lay down wherever upstairs and take some rest.

Refugee = run away from a country to be in a safe place

🌎 Being a refugee puts on restrictions about what you are allowed to do in another country.

“Because of” comes after verbs.
“Due to” comes after nouns.

🚴‍♂️The bike trip was canceled because of rain.
🚴‍♂️ We canceled the bike trip due to rain.

Come vs. go

🔥 There are many exceptions for this one. Here is one of the explanations:
Come = movement from the receiver’s viewpoint
- Can you come into my room please?

Go = movement from the doer’s viewpoint
- I don’t want to go on that trip!
