Today, we're sharing Oxford's Word of the Year! This term captures the feeling of mental exhaustion from excessive screen time and mindless content consumption 🫠 Other dictionaries have also announced their Words of the Year. Give this post a reaction if…
As promised, we’re sharing the Words of the Year chosen by various dictionaries and media:

▫️ Merriam-Webster Dictionary: Polarization — the act of separating or making people separate into two groups with completely opposite opinions

▫️ Cambridge Dictionary: Manifest — to use methods such as visualization and affirmation to help you imagine achieving something you want

▫️ Collins Dictionary: Brat — characterized by a confident, independent, and hedonistic attitude.

▫️ Dictionary.com: Demure — characterized by shyness and modesty; reserved.

▫️ The Economist: Kakistocracy — rule by the worst (inspired by its opposite, “aristocracy” — rule by the best)

If you were to choose the Word of the Year, what would it be? Share your word in the comments!

Dear Students,

As the year begins, it's natural to set ambitious goals (and we genuinely hope you achieve them all!)

💪 However, remember that consistency beats perfection. Taking regular, small steps is better than not moving at all. Even learning just 5 new English words a week can make a big difference in the long run.

💛 Here's to staying consistent on your English learning journey throughout 2025!

These are the top three kids’ slang words of 2024! One of them even has no meaning (and likely exists just to confuse older generations 😀).
