I'm a software developer from Ethiopia, and honestly, I'm struggling.
I've spent years learning to code, graduated with a BSc in IT, built projects, worked with clients, and kept trying to find my place in this industry.
I know React, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, and Flask. I've built web applications, worked on real projects, and have a portfolio:

But right now, I'm struggling to find consistent paid work. I've applied for jobs, reached out to people, and tried different approaches. It's been exhausting.
I'm not posting this because I want sympathy. I'm posting because I genuinely need an opportunity.
I'm available for paid development work immediately , fixing bugs, building frontend features, developing web applications, or helping a team ship a product.
Remote or on-site. Full-time, contract, or freelance.
If you're hiring a junior developer, need help with a project, or know someone I should speak to, please reach out. Even a referral or introduction could make a real difference.
I'm ready to work, learn, and prove myself.
If you can't offer work yourself, sharing this with someone who might be able to help would mean a lot.

Introducing Viva, a thesis presentation and preparation app that helps to prepare you from frustration of defending the thesis which the app generates you feedback and questions from your voice presentation interaction, your citation and transcript. It is Voxide integrated for voice interaction and scholarxiv for citation checking, me and my team will likely to work on updates but still it is very good platform to train your thesis defending skills. check out the project on the stark platform and make sure you like the project if you enjoyed it ๐,

Hmmm, I wonder who the winner of the Stark Hackathon will be? ๐
On a serious note, though, I was genuinely amazed by the creativity and execution of some of the projects, and I had fun judging them. However, sadly, a lot of projects were just vibed into oblivion.
Iโm not against using AI in our day-to-day development workflows, but some of these projects felt like they had little to no human intervention. At some point, it genuinely started feeling like a vibe-coding hackathon.
Ena please, ebakachu, don't outsource your thinking and architectural knowledge to AI. Have some taste. Care about what you build. There are actual people who might use your products, eko, for Christ's sake. And these projects are going to be judged, eko. ๐ญ
Do it for your own conscience. Be your own harshest critic. Question your decisions, care about the details, and hold yourself to a higher standard. That's how you'll be able to ship something genuinely amazing.
This is my criticism of the vibe-coded projects. Please take it constructively. The point isn't to stop using AI, but to remember that AI should amplify your engineering skills, not replace your thinking.
