🇾🇪 | Yemen’s air defense, using technical expertise shared with Iran, along with Sayyad and Fater series missiles and the 358 surface-to-air system, has so far succeeded in destroying a large number of American drones, as well as some Turkish and Chinese drones.

The list of Yemen’s air defense successes also includes Tornado, F-15, and F-16 fighter jets, along with Apache helicopters. During the recent conflict between Yemen and America, an F/A-18 was reportedly destroyed, although this has not been confirmed. Reports suggest it may have been brought down either by a cruise missile or during an engagement with Yemen’s air defense system, but the exact cause remains unclear. In this video, you can see footage of some of the destroyed aircraft, as well as equipment, radars, and facilities belonging to Yemen’s air defense system.

🇾🇪 | Ansarallah’s Strategic Areas and Methods of Fighting

1. Intelligence-led targeting

The material indicates a strong emphasis on identifying valuable or vulnerable targets before launching attacks. Repeated strikes are reported against military gatherings, camps, weapons depots, supply positions, command locations, and moving reinforcements.

2. Predicting or identifying troop concentrations

A recurring pattern is the targeting of enemy gatherings and concentrations. Ansarallah repeatedly strikes locations where Saudi-backed or UAE-backed forces are assembled, particularly during reinforcement movements or preparations for operations.

This suggests an ability to detect when enemy forces are concentrated and exploit those moments when a large number of personnel and military vehicles are gathered in one location.

3. Attacking the enemy’s logistics

Logistics appear to be a major component of the strategy. The material repeatedly mentions attacks on:

• Military supply depots
• Supply ships and port facilities
• Reinforcement routes
• Roads connecting different fronts
• Military vehicles
• Communication and supply corridors

The reported targeting of the Al-Mokha port and the Heijah Al-Abd road illustrates the importance placed on disrupting the enemy’s ability to move personnel, weapons, and supplies.

4. Targeting command structures

The material contains repeated reports of senior commanders and officers being targeted during ground and remote attacks.

This indicates an effort to weaken the enemy not only by attacking ordinary forces, but also by disrupting command structures and removing experienced battlefield leadership.

5. Combining missiles, drones and artillery

Ansarallah appears to employ multiple forms of firepower simultaneously. Ballistic missiles, drones, artillery, and ground forces are repeatedly reported operating in the same battlespace.

The September 3 report about coordinated Meshkat-type drone attacks against troop gatherings and military vehicles is particularly relevant to this pattern.

6. Surprise attacks

Surprise is another recurring feature.

The material repeatedly describes attacks as sudden or unexpected, including surprise missile and drone attacks against military positions, weapons depots, and troop concentrations.

The objective appears to be to strike before the enemy can fully prepare or reorganize.

7. Simultaneous pressure across multiple fronts

Rather than concentrating exclusively on one battlefield, Ansarallah repeatedly applies pressure across several fronts.

The material mentions simultaneous or near-simultaneous activity around:

• Taiz
• Al-Mokha
• Al-Khawkhah
• Al-Barah
• Maqbanah
• Al-Kadha
• Jabal Habashi
• Shabwa
• Marib
• The western coastal front

This creates a wider operational problem for the opposing side because reinforcements and resources have to be distributed across multiple areas.

8. Seizing high ground

Control of elevated terrain is repeatedly emphasized.

The reported capture of areas around Jabal al-Sheikh Saeed, Qahban, Jabal Habashi, Jabal Ghabari, and other elevated positions indicates the importance of high ground for observation, fire control, movement, and control of surrounding routes.

9. Cutting communications and supply routes

The material specifically reports efforts to cut communication and supply routes between opposing positions.

The reported pressure around Jabal Habashi and the routes connecting Taiz with Al-Mokha demonstrates an apparent strategy of isolating enemy formations by disrupting their connections with other positions.

10. Maritime pressure as strategic warfare

The western coastline and the Red Sea are treated as part of the wider battlefield.

Attacks around Al-Mokha port, reported attacks on military supply vessels, and activity around the Bab al-Mandeb area indicate that maritime infrastructure and movement are considered important components of the conflict.

11. Economic pressure and the “response blockade”

The material connects military operations with economic pressure.

🇾🇪 | Ansarallah’s Strategic Areas and Methods of Fighting 1. Intelligence-led targeting The material indicates a strong emphasis on identifying valuable or vulnerable targets before launching attacks. Repeated strikes are reported against military gatherings…
+

The repeated attacks on Saudi Aramco facilities, including the Jazan refinery and oil-storage infrastructure, show an effort to extend pressure beyond the immediate battlefield.

The stated objective of lifting the blockade also indicates that military operations are being used as leverage in a broader political and economic confrontation.

12. Psychological warfare and uncertainty

The pattern of repeated surprise attacks, attacks on rear areas, strikes against military gatherings, and pressure on important infrastructure can create uncertainty within the opposing force.

The enemy has to account for the possibility of attacks not only at the frontline but also against supply routes, ports, concentrations, command positions, and rear-area infrastructure.

13. Understanding the enemy’s psychology

The material suggests an emphasis on exploiting moments when the opposing force is particularly vulnerable, such as:

• When troops are concentrated
• During reinforcement movements
• While preparing for an offensive
• When forces are dependent on a particular supply route
• When commanders are present at operational positions
• When forces are attempting to consolidate recently captured terrain

This indicates an apparent understanding of how the enemy moves, concentrates, reinforces, and reacts under pressure.

14. Attrition of enemy leadership

The repeated reports of senior commanders being targeted suggest that leadership attrition is an important element of the campaign.

Removing commanders can potentially affect battlefield coordination, morale, decision-making, and the ability to organize counterattacks.

15. Exploiting reinforcement movements

The material repeatedly mentions opposing forces deploying reinforcements after suffering losses.

Ansarallah appears to exploit these movements by targeting forces while they are concentrated or moving toward threatened fronts.

This creates a potential cycle in which losses generate reinforcement requirements, while reinforcement movements themselves become vulnerable targets.

16. Ground offensive + remote strikes

The material indicates that missile and drone strikes are not necessarily used independently of ground operations.

In several reported battles, remote strikes against gatherings and military positions occur alongside ground advances.

This combination appears intended to weaken defensive positions before or during ground pressure and to interfere with the enemy’s ability to reinforce threatened areas.

17. Persistence after setbacks

The battlefield reports also show that gains are not always permanent.

For example, after reported Ansarallah advances, Saudi-backed forces reportedly launched counterattacks and recaptured some positions.

The subsequent continuation of fighting and renewed advances indicate an ability to maintain pressure rather than treating the loss of individual positions as the end of an operation.

18. Redundancy and saturation

Ansarallah’s reported use of different weapons and attack vectors creates redundancy.

If missiles, drones, artillery, and ground forces are operating across several fronts, the opposing side must respond to multiple types of threats simultaneously.

This can increase the difficulty of defending every position, route, gathering, and military installation.

19. Drone warfare as a flexible layer

Drones appear repeatedly throughout the material.

They are reported being used against:

• Military gatherings
• Military vehicles
• Camps
• Strongholds
• Weapons depots
• Air-defense assets
• Rear-area positions
• Oil infrastructure

The reported use of Meshkat-type drones in coordinated attacks suggests that drones are being integrated into broader operations rather than being used solely as isolated strike weapons.

20. Strategic depth

The overall pattern indicates that the battlefield is viewed in depth rather than simply as a frontline confrontation.

Targets include frontline troops, reinforcements, command structures, supply routes, ports, military depots, rear areas, and economic infrastructure.

+

This expands the conflict from a direct contest over individual positions into a broader effort to undermine the opposing force’s ability to sustain military operations.

Core strategic concepts

The material points to several recurring concepts:

1. Intelligence-led targeting
2. Identification of troop concentrations
3. Preemptive or opportunistic strikes
4. Surprise attacks
5. Repeat pressure against important targets
6. Targeting logistics and reinforcement routes
7. Leadership attrition
8. Multi-domain coordination
9. Multi-front pressure
10. Control of high ground
11. Isolation of enemy formations
12. Psychological pressure and uncertainty
13. Economic and maritime pressure
14. Use of drones as a flexible strike and reconnaissance layer
15. Adaptation following enemy counterattacks

Overall operational pattern

Intelligence/reconnaissance → identify enemy concentration or vulnerability → launch missile/drone/artillery strike → disrupt command, logistics or reinforcement → apply ground pressure → seize advantageous terrain → isolate opposing formations → maintain pressure across multiple fronts.
