🇵🇸 | Hamas delegation meets Egyptian intelligence minister:

A delegation from the leadership of the Hamas movement, headed by Khalil al-Hayya, head of the movement’s political bureau, met today with Egyptian Intelligence Minister Major General Hassan Rashad at the agency’s headquarters in Cairo, at the beginning of an official visit to Egypt.

The delegation discussed the latest political and field developments in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, highlighting what it described as daily violations by the Israeli occupation, its rejection of the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement and President Trump’s plan, and its announcement rejecting the proposed roadmap.

The delegation also provided an assessment of developments in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Israeli prisons, describing the Israeli actions as a dangerous and destructive policy requiring regional and international attention.

The delegation included Muhammad Darwish, head of the Shura Council; Khaled Meshaal, head of the movement in the diaspora; Zaher Jabarin, head of the movement in the West Bank; Dr. Basem Naim, head of the Arab and Islamic Relations Office; and Dr. Ghazi Hamad, a member of the movement’s political leadership.

Hamas said the meeting took place on Sunday, August 16, 2026, corresponding to 3 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1448 AH.

🇮🇷 | The first “Gray Eagle” kill / American MQ-1C drone added to the IRGC’s collection of captured aircraft

Recently, the IRGC Aerospace Force displayed images of a collection of remains from aircraft shot down during the Ramadan War. Among them, one image is particularly significant and proves that a model of an American-made drone was shot down by air defense fire for the first time.

On 31 May, during the clashes following the ceasefire between Iran and the United States, the IRGC announced that it had shot down an MQ-1 drone. Hours later, the terrorist CENTCOM command also announced that it had lost an MQ-1 drone.

However, this seemed somewhat strange, since the MQ-1 drone, known as the Predator, had been withdrawn from service from at least the U.S. military’s combat units several years ago.

What was actually shot down by the IRGC’s air defense system was the MQ-1C reconnaissance and combat drone, known as the “Gray Eagle,” which is in fact a highly upgraded drone designed to meet the U.S. Army’s reconnaissance and strike requirements.

🇮🇷 | Yesterday, Commander of the Committee for the Search for Missing Persons of the General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, Brigadier General Seyed Mohammad Bagherzadeh, confirmed that, according to intelligence gathered by Iranian authorities, the three missing pilots, Javad Salehi, Abdolmajid Dashtian, and Omran Behroushian, had been captured alive by Qatari forces after their aircraft were downed in March. However, Qatar has now categorically denied holding the three pilots, stating that its search-and-rescue teams recovered the remains of one pilot and that it had contacted Iran regarding their transfer.

The conflicting accounts have created a serious new uncertainty over the fate of the three Iranian pilots. Iranian officials maintain that the pilots were captured alive, while Qatar says it is not holding them. Tehran has also accused Doha of delaying access for an Iranian fact-finding team and has called for the International Committee of the Red Cross to follow up on the case.

The situation is particularly concerning because, if the Iranian account is ultimately confirmed, the whereabouts and status of the three pilots remain unexplained. There are also growing concerns about whether they could have been transferred to another party, including U.S. or Israeli-linked authorities, although there is currently no verified evidence establishing such a transfer. Diplomatic and investigative efforts are therefore urgently needed to determine what happened to them, establish their exact status and location, and secure their safe return if they are being held alive.

We hope for the best possible outcome and for the truth to be established through a transparent investigation. If the pilots are indeed being held, their immediate access to the International Committee of the Red Cross, legal protections, medical care, and contact with their families should be ensured.

Yemeni media aligned with Saudi Arabia reported that a vessel in Bab al-Mandab, owned by an individual identified as “Amir Khan,” was targeted by Ansar Allah. Moments ago, another explosion was reportedly heard in Al-Mokha, resulting in casualties. The attacks are reportedly ongoing, with Saudi mercenaries among the primary targets.

— The enemy resorted to hybrid warfare, with earlier assessments warning that Iran could face not only conventional attacks and physical damage, but also covert operations, sabotage, infiltration, and other unconventional measures. During the imposed Ramadan war, concerns were also raised over possible weather manipulation, including reports involving aircraft from the UAE equipped with cloud-seeding systems, specialized radars capable of influencing cloud formations, or a combination of both, in which cloud-seeding materials could potentially be activated or manipulated through special systems on the ground.

The issue became particularly significant as the lake was reportedly at risk of disappearing, while it is now showing signs of recovery, raising renewed attention to the question of weather and environmental manipulation as part of hybrid warfare.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Paveh County confirmed that a number of residents of the border city of Bayangan had been poisoned, saying that the cause of the incident is currently under investigation by the county’s health and treatment network. He stated that authorities are examining the circumstances surrounding the poisoning and added that a connection between the incident and possible water contamination has not yet been confirmed.
