First: We salute the actions of our brothers in Yemen and declare our full support for their blessed steps to break the blockade imposed by Al Saud and end the influence of Al Zayed, which has only increased the suffering of the oppressed Yemeni people. Either there is security for everyone, or there is security for no one. Either prosperity is shared by all, or it will be denied to all. The Yemeni people possess leverage capable of turning the tables.

The Yemeni Armed Forces, by the grace of God, successfully shot down a Saudi Wing Loong II reconnaissance drone while it was carrying out hostile missions in the early hours of today over the skies of Al Bayda Governorate in central Yemen. The drone was targeted and destroyed using appropriate weapons.

The Armed Forces reaffirmed their readiness to confront any violation of Yemen’s airspace and sovereignty, stating that they will remain on alert against any act of aggression and will not stand idly by in the face of any attack, relying on and placing their trust in God.

“It is a great honor to welcome the Prime Minister of Iraq to the White House. He is a great fighter and a strong supporter of America.

Iraq has massive oil reserves and tremendous wealth, and under his leadership, the country has changed significantly, especially in its relationship with the United States.

We have established major partnerships, particularly in the energy sector. Very large oil agreements have been reached in a remarkably short period of time, and I believe they will be announced this week or next. They are among the biggest partnerships we have seen.

They have done a tremendous job in a very short period. Iraq has a great leader in its new Prime Minister. I believe he will remain in office for a long time. It is a pleasure to have you at the White House. Thank you very much.”

Following the remarks, the two leaders exchanged a handshake and words of thanks.

Trump then joked:

He also said:

“Soleimani was a crazy genius, probably a madman. He had complete control over Iran. Iran’s leaders were afraid of Soleimani, but I killed him.”

“Things are going well regarding the disarmament of armed factions in Iraq. There used to be fear of Iran across the region, but now the countries of the Middle East have been freed from a dominant force.”
