🇾🇪 | Statement Issued by the Yemeni Armed Forces:

In response to the Saudi enemy’s insistence on continuing its unjust blockade against the Yemeni people, at exactly 1:54 p.m. today, Monday, the Saudi enemy carried out a blatant act of aggression through its warplanes against Sana’a International Airport, launching several airstrikes with the aim of closing the airport to humanitarian flights transporting patients and stranded civilians to and from Sana’a International Airport. The Armed Forces engaged the attacking aircraft in an effort to repel this treacherous and cowardly assault.

In response to this criminal Saudi aggression, the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a military operation targeting Abha International Airport using a number of ballistic missiles and drones. By the grace of Allah, the operation successfully achieved its objectives.

The Saudi enemy, through its reckless decision to launch this unjust attack on Sana’a International Airport, bears full responsibility and the grave consequences of this brutal aggression, which serves the Zionist-American enemy and all the repercussions that result from it.

The Yemeni Armed Forces affirm that they remain determined in their rightful position to repel the aggression and lift the unjust blockade imposed on our country. In this regard, they warn all airlines against flying through Saudi Arabian airspace and urge them to take this warning seriously until the blockade on Sana’a International Airport is lifted.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its assistance to the Republic of Yemen in lifting the unjust blockade on Sana’a International Airport and for operating humanitarian flights to and from Sana’a International Airport.

Bushehr was reportedly attacked eight times, Kish Island five times, Bandar Abbas four times, Mahshahr two times and Omidiyeh four times. Jask, Sirik, Abu Musa Island, Imam Khomeini Port, Jam (Bushehr Province), Hendijan, Abadan, Na’in, Kerman, Saravan, the IRGC headquarters in Saravan, and Saravan Airport were each reportedly targeted once. Additional reports also claimed strikes on military infrastructure, communications facilities, ports, and airbases across the country’s southern and southeastern regions.
