In response to repeated illegal U.S. attacks against our country, the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that, a few hours ago, in a new wave of drone operations, it targeted the locations of U.S. forces, air defense and missile systems, shelters, and support hangars of the U.S. military in Kuwait using destructive drones.

The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while condemning what it described as repeated American attacks on military centers, civilian infrastructure, and civilians, as well as alleged violations of the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter, stated that the Armed Forces, with firm determination and full capability, would not hesitate to defend Iran’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, independence, and its people against any aggression.

[Islamic Resistance in Iraq issues statement ahead of Iraqi government delegation’s visit to Washington]

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

“And whoever among you takes them as allies, then indeed he is one of them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.” (Qur’an 5:51)

At a time when the American-Zionist war machine continues to commit brutal massacres and shed the blood of thousands of believers and innocent people in Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, and Palestine, an Iraqi government delegation is traveling to Washington to meet with the U.S. administration. While we in the Islamic Resistance announce our principled rejection of this visit, which comes at a time when the hearts of believers and free people around the world are boiling with grief and anguish over the continuation of these horrific crimes, we affirm the following:

1. We deal with positions according to their merits. Our support for the government in pursuing the corrupt does not mean granting it an open mandate in all its policies, nor does it justify passing projects that mortgage the future of coming generations to companies linked, directly or indirectly, to the interests of the occupation. It has been established that a number of these companies maintain genuine partnerships with the Zionist enemy, something that is incompatible with the requirements of national dignity and contrary to loyalty to the sacrifices of the martyrs.

2. We reaffirm that the continued presence of American forces on Iraqi soil constitutes an occupation, and that one of the government’s foremost priorities must be to work, through all available means, to end it in accordance with the announced timetable.

3. We oppose trade and the signing of contracts with any state that harbors hostility toward our resisting people or works to confiscate Iraq’s political decision-making and violate its sovereignty. At the same time, we reject any economic monopoly or domination over Iraq’s resources and warn against replacing military occupation with an even more dangerous economic occupation, after all the blood and sacrifices our people have offered to liberate the land and safeguard the national decision.

4. Liberating the Iraqi economy from American domination, which controls Iraq’s resources and wealth by restricting them at times and releasing only a small portion at others, is among the foremost national responsibilities of any Iraqi government.

5. The pursuit of international acceptance must not turn into concession or submission to the arrogant powers and later be presented as a governmental success.

6. Normalization with the Zionist entity is high treason, whether it comes under the umbrella of the Abraham Accords or under any other name.

7. Iraq’s representation at any international meeting or forum must reflect the greatness of this people, their sacrifices, and the heroism of their sons, without weakness, submission, or acceptance of humiliation. We are the sons of the school of “Far from us is humiliation.”

8. Any treaty or agreement that a government delegation intends to conclude must be presented before the Iraqi Parliament for approval, without circumventing the law by changing its title, such as calling it a “Memorandum of Understanding” or a “Cooperation Framework,” with the aim of evading parliamentary oversight.

9. We warn any monopolistic company seeking to exploit Iraq’s wealth or violate the rights of its people. We affirm that the option of defending the homeland and its legitimate interests will always remain. Our people understand that the strength of the national position is greater than any contracts of submission, that Iraq’s sovereignty is not a commodity for negotiation, that the will of free people can neither be bought nor mortgaged, and that the rights of the people can only be safeguarded through steadfast positions and firm determination.

The Kuwaiti government is an aggressor against Iraqi territory and Iraqi citizens, shedding their blood, and it continues to escalate its aggression and transgressions.

The Iraqi government is required to take firm measures against what it describes as the unjust Kuwaiti government and defend the rights of Iraq and the Iraqi people.

Restricting itself to denunciation and condemnation is neither correct nor sufficient on the part of the Iraqi government. The Iraqi people demand that the government put an end to the Kuwaiti government’s acts of aggression and transgressions.

🇮🇷 | IRGC's 4th statement

We inform the honorable people of Iran that, during the fourth phase of the retaliatory operation, the heroic Ground Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted a U.S. Army ground-to-ground missile base in Kuwait.

According to the statement, the attack set fire to and completely destroyed two HIMARS missile launchers and ammunition depots containing missiles.

🇮🇷 | IRGC's 5th statement

The United States targeted an agricultural water pump in Mahshahr County, once again demonstrating its anti-civilian nature.

In the fifth phase of Iran’s retaliatory operations, the IRGC Navy targeted U.S. military facilities and infrastructure at Juffair, Bahrain, where large fires were reported. Missile and drone strikes also destroyed an FPS long-range air surveillance radar and a maritime surveillance radar in the Sultanate of Oman.

The only way for the Strait of Hormuz to be reopened to maritime traffic is for the U.S. military to end its interference in the strait and respect the sovereignty of coastal states over their territorial waters. It further warned that continued U.S. intervention would lead to greater consequences for the global oil and gas sector.
