Imam Mujtaba Husayni Khamenei (H) will not be present in person. As in the past month, he has continued to organize these commemorative assemblies while remaining absent. However, for the first time, he has appointed Sayyid Ali Khomeini, the grandson of Imam Khomeini (r), as the principal speaker for the gathering.

🇮🇷 | Various statements by the IRGC and the Iranian Armed Forces during the funeral of Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei:

1. Iranian Army statement

Following the aggression launched by U.S. forces against areas inside the country and units of the Iranian Army, the Iranian Army stated that it had targeted Patriot systems in Kuwait, satellite early warning reception sites in Qatar, and fuel depots belonging to U.S. forces in Bahrain using a large number of attack drones.

The statement added that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran would continue, under the guidance of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to prevent what it described as the objectives of the United States and would continue defending the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.

2. Regional strikes

The Iranian Army stated that it targeted the following with drones:

- A Patriot air defense system in Kuwait.

- An early warning satellite antenna site in Qatar.

- Fuel storage facilities used by U.S. forces in Bahrain.

The IRGC stated that it targeted:

1) Arifjan Base, Kuwait.

2) Ali al Salem Air Base, Kuwait.

3) The U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet headquarters in Juffair, Bahrain.

4) Sheikh Isa Air Base, Bahrain.

The accompanying reports claimed to show heavy smoke and explosions at military facilities in Bahrain.

3. IRGC Navy

The IRGC Navy stated that, over the previous two weeks, it had established control over the Strait of Hormuz, secured the waterway, and gradually reopened it to shipping.

According to the statement, vessel transit has reached approximately 50 percent of pre-war traffic, with capacity continuing to increase for ships that receive permission from the IRGC Navy and comply with the security regulations established by the Islamic Republic.

The statement further declared that foreign powers have no share in the Strait of Hormuz and warned that any further U.S. military interference or attempts to influence navigation would face a response and could disrupt the reopening process.

5. IRGC statement

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that, following its earlier warning that any renewed attacks would expand the scope of Iran’s response, it had launched what it described as the second phase of its retaliation.

According to the IRGC, at 2:20 p.m., its Aerospace Force struck what it described as the enemy’s command and control center in West Asia and Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan using ten ballistic missiles.

The statement warned that, if further U.S. attacks occur, all American military bases in the region would remain within the range of Iranian strikes.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Exalted

“Among the believers are men who have remained true to the covenant they made with Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their vow, while others still await, and they have never changed in the least.” (Qur’an 33:23)

The noble people of Iraq have once again demonstrated, through their awareness and faith, a heroic stance, recording an unparalleled chapter in history with their magnificent participation in the funeral of the Leader and Martyr of the Ummah, Imam Khamenei (r).

In doing so, they thwarted the enemy’s attempts to drive a wedge between the two great nations of Iran and Iraq, instilling despair in their impure hearts by proving that these two peoples can never be separated, for they stand together in the same trench against every failed plot and repeated scheme of the enemy.

The Iraqi people, with all their communities, tribes, and schools of thought, were determined to fulfill the sacred wish of the martyred Imam Khamenei to visit the holy shrines. By the grace of Allah, this was realized through the immense presence of believing men and women who gathered to honor and revere him, remaining loyal to the great martyr and his oppressed family. Their pure blood was sacrificed to uphold the Word of Allah and preserve the unity of the Ummah.

Accordingly, we extend our deepest gratitude to Iraq, its people, and its government in all its institutions, as well as to the Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd al Shaabi), the police, the security services, and the Iraqi Armed Forces.

We also offer our heartfelt appreciation to the blessed religious authority (Marja’iyyah), the historic Hawza of Najaf, its scholars, teachers, and students. Our thanks are likewise extended to the custodians and servants of the holy shrines, to every segment of Iraqi society, and to its noble tribes for the heroic positions they adopted and their remarkable participation during this critical historical moment. Their honorable stance will never be forgotten by history. Friend and foe alike have acknowledged that this funeral was without equal, as Najaf al Ashraf and Karbala al Mu’alla embraced the blessed body of the great martyr, his oppressed family, and the countless mourners who came from Iraq and many other countries.

We pray to Almighty Allah to grant success to the two great nations of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the fraternal, faithful Republic of Iraq, and to protect them from every evil and calamity. Indeed, He is the All Hearing, the Ever Responsive.
