The Islamic Ummah will fulfill its duty in seeking justice for the martyrs
As the nation bids farewell to and buries the martyred leader of the Revolution, the profound grief over the loss of this distinguished mujahid has been renewed. Undoubtedly, the massive public participation in these ceremonies reflects the strength of the Islamic Revolution, the steadfastness of the Iranian nation and the Islamic Ummah, and their continued commitment to the path of the martyrs.
Ayatullah Makarem Shirazi emphasized the following points:
First: It must not be assumed that this conflict has come to an end. The confrontation with the front of global arrogance continues. Any attempt to spread despair, weakness, hopelessness, or to undermine the morale of the people, officials, or armed forces serves the interests of the enemy and runs contrary to the interests of the country and the Islamic Ummah. At the same time, hope and steadfastness do not mean ignoring the realities on the ground. Patience and perseverance remain among the greatest causes of success in Divine trials.
Second: Those responsible for this crime, whose hands are stained with the blood of the martyred leader, military commanders, officials, defenseless civilians, and innocent children, will not escape Divine justice or just punishment. These pure sacrifices will never be forgotten, and the Islamic Ummah will fulfill its duty in seeking justice for the martyrs within the framework of Islamic law and legal principles.
Third: Officials, the armed forces, and all decision-makers must rely upon Allah, trust in His promises, make full use of the country’s capabilities, and draw strength from the faith, patience, and steadfastness of the people. With wisdom, resolve, and vigilance in the military, diplomatic, and all other fields, they must stand firm against the enemy, for experience has shown that any retreat before an aggressor only emboldens further aggression.
Fourth: The Islamic Revolution is founded upon the principle of Wilayat al Faqih. Through this principle, it has overcome many difficult challenges and hostile plots. In the Islamic system, Wilayat al Faqih serves as the axis of unity, the guardian of the Ummah’s interests, and a fundamental pillar of the state. Commitment to it is a collective responsibility and an essential safeguard for Islam and the nation.
Fifth: Today, more than ever, preserving national unity and solidarity is an undeniable necessity. Differences of opinion, even when arising from sincere intentions, must not become a cause of division or weaken the internal front. At the same time, officials must redouble their efforts to resolve the people’s problems and serve them with sincerity.
Ayatullah Makarem Shirazi concluded by once again offering his condolences on the martyrdom of the martyred leader and all those killed in the recent war to Imam al Mahdi (A), the Leader of the Revolution, the families of the martyrs, the people of Iran, and Muslims around the world. He prayed that Allah grant the martyrs the highest ranks and that, through the blessings of Imam al Mahdi (A), the honor and victory of Islam and the Muslims, and the removal of the enemies’ evil, be realized soon.
