🇮🇷 : 🇮🇷 | Statement No. 1 of Astan Quds Razavi [The holy shrine of Imam Ali Ridha (A)] regarding the farewell, funeral procession, and burial of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution: In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful…
💐 | This is not merely a funeral procession:

At first glance, what will unfold next week in Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad appears to be the farewell ceremonies for the blessed body of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution. It is a majestic farewell to a towering figure who guided the Islamic Revolution for more than three decades, dedicating and sacrificing his blessed life for the honor of Islam, the independence of Iran, and the advancement of the Islamic Republic.

Yet if these ceremonies are reduced to the burial of a single individual, their greater significance will be overlooked. The forthcoming funeral processions are more than a farewell to the blessed body of our martyred Leader. They represent a renewed pledge of allegiance to his path, his school of thought, and his vision.

The millions of Iranians who will gather in the streets of Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad next week will not come merely to pay their respects to the martyred Leader of the Revolution. They will come to declare once again that they remain steadfast on the path charted by the Martyred Leader of the Ummah.

The funeral procession next week will, sorrowfully, be the people’s final public farewell to their martyred Leader. Millions of Iranians, young and old, men and women alike, will carry their Leader upon their shoulders and bid him farewell. But this final meeting is not the end of our covenant.

The bond between the people and the Leader of the Revolution has never been merely emotional, to end with his earthly life. It is founded upon a shared ideal and a common historical mission, a journey that began decades ago, in the era that commenced on 14 Khordad 1368 (June 1989), and continues to this day. For this reason, these funeral processions should not be seen as the end of that journey, but rather as the renewal of a nation’s pledge to continue it with even greater steadfastness and resolve.

Perhaps that is why this final farewell should be understood as a pledge of allegiance to the path of the Martyred Imam. It is a pledge made not through words, but through presence. The millions participating in these ceremonies declare through their attendance that the path of dignity, resistance, and the defense of the honor of the Islamic Republic of Iran did not come to an end with the martyrdom of the Leader of the Revolution. By their presence, they bear witness that the ideas of Iran’s martyred Leader cannot be assassinated, nor can his path be buried.

At the same time, these funeral processions carry another meaning, one that also defines the future of the Islamic Republic. This immense and historic gathering is not only a pledge to the path of the martyred Leader of the Revolution, but also a pledge of allegiance to the new Leader of the Islamic Revolution. Drawing upon the same vision that has guided it for decades, the Iranian nation sees the continuation of the martyred Leader’s path, school, and principles in the leadership of Ayatollah Sayyid Mujtaba Khamenei. Thus, participation in these ceremonies is not merely an expression of respect for the past, but also a declaration of loyalty to the future.

Nor should the external message of this historic gathering be overlooked. The tens of millions expected to participate in next week’s funeral processions will deliver a resounding response to the enemy and to all those who imagined that by assassinating and martyring our beloved Leader, they could bring his mission to an end.

This is not merely a mourning ceremony. It is a historic message, declaring with complete clarity that the martyrdom of the Leader of the Revolution marks not the end of the road, but the beginning of a new chapter of responsibility for the people. It proclaims that the path of the martyred Ayatollah Khamenei lives on, not merely in memory, but in the unwavering determination of an entire nation.

For all these reasons, next week may rightly be called the Week of Allegiance: allegiance to the path of the Martyred Imam, and allegiance to the continuation of that path under the leadership of Ayatollah Sayyid Mujtaba Khamenei.

For is our tradition with the martyrs one of farewell? We do not say goodbye to our martyred Leader. Instead, we say: Until we meet again, in the company of Imam al-Husayn (A). Until that Divine promise is fulfilled, our covenant with our beloved martyr shall remain as firm as a mountain. We will continue his path, safeguard his ideals, and never allow the banner that he carried with such dignity and strength to fall.
