According to Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society in Bahrain, security forces continue a campaign of arrests and summonses targeting a number of citizens, including children and a Husseini reciter.

The society stated that authorities arrested reciter Nasser Al-Kishri, Hajj Abdul-Jabbar Mirza, Hajj Hussein Darwish, Ihab Al-Hamadi, Ahmed Hassan, Sayed Abdullah Majid, Hussein Al-Khayat, Mahmoud Muslim, Hajj Mahdi Saleh, the brothers Ali and Hassan Al-Ghanem, Reda Ibrahim Mohammed Hamada, Sayed Hussein Jaafar, and Mohammed Sarhan.

According to the statement, two children, Mustafa Yousef and Zain Mohammed Ibrahim, were also detained.

Al-Wefaq further reported a heightened security presence in a number of predominantly Shia villages, with security forces deployed around village entrances and public areas before carrying out arrests following religious ceremonies. The society described these measures as part of an escalating campaign by Bahraini authorities amid ongoing regional developments, alleging that the actions disproportionately target members of the Shia community.

🇮🇷 | Meeting Between the Spokesperson of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army and the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson

Diplomacy and the Field, Side by Side for Iran

Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, spokesperson for the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday evening and held talks with Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei.

The Army spokesperson emphasized the complementary roles of diplomacy and the military field in safeguarding national interests and security, stating:

“Today, diplomacy and the field are closer and more coordinated than ever in pursuing the country’s interests and national dignity. The results of this coordination and synergistic effort can be seen in the major achievements of the Iranian nation and in frustrating the enemies’ wars and conspiracies over the past year.”

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson honored the memory of those killed while defending the homeland in the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. He also praised the continued and empowering presence of the people in public spaces and on the streets over the past 90 days, which helped thwart hostile actions by Iran’s adversaries.

He described the sacrifices and bravery of Iran’s armed forces in defending the country as a source of pride for every Iranian and stressed that the strength and power of the armed forces provide firm backing for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in protecting Iran’s national interests in the diplomatic arena.

Regarding the meeting, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson wrote on X:

The Zionist enemy continues its brutal war on the Gaza Strip through killings, assassinations, massacres, the targeting of Palestinian police officers, an unjust siege, and escalating policies of starvation and continuous military pressure aimed at keeping Gaza in a state of permanent exhaustion. This demonstrates that we are facing a systematic Zionist policy designed to subjugate our people in Gaza, push them toward displacement, and prolong the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in order to evade the implementation of the political and military commitments that the Zionist entity is obligated to fulfill.

The fascism, criminality, and ongoing bloodshed practiced by the Zionist enemy constitute a violation of international understandings and the terms of the agreement. This places responsibility upon all mediators and guarantors of the ceasefire agreement to compel the enemy to fulfill all required obligations and then proceed to discussions regarding the next phase of the agreement.

Mladenov’s roadmap for the administration of Gaza represents a form of political and humanitarian blackmail, as it links aid, fuel, and reconstruction efforts to the disarmament of the resistance. It also seeks to place the technocratic committee in opposition to the Palestinian people, thereby deepening internal divisions and threatening to ignite a conflict that serves the interests of the Zionist enemy and legitimizes its crimes.

We call upon the technocratic committee to remain firmly aligned with the interests of our people, reject all plans advanced by the Zionist enemy, and refuse submission to Mladenov’s proposals, which he seeks to institutionalize within the so-called Peace Council. These proposals reduce our people to an administrative file rather than recognizing them as a people possessing the right to self-determination. We further reject any attempt to use the Peace Council as a political and legal cover for reshaping the reality of the Gaza Strip through administrative and security arrangements that serve the Zionist enemy under the guise of governance and reconstruction.
